As it is smooth, the dog will slide around in it, so these shoes are not suitable for use inside the house.
Although I tried to give my German Shepard, a large size, I haven't been able to get him to wear it. He took it off and refused to wear it. I had to return them, so I did. As long as they will be worn by your dog, they will probably be fine.
You can't use it in the rain.
Buying a size medium for my sheep was a good idea The poor thing. There is no difference in weight between her and her sister. The dog is smaller than the ones in the pictures. Can you possibly get by with a small? There is no way to find out, unless you order both sizes and return one of them. The show does stay on, however.

The little feet on my Yorkie, a 4 lb miniature horse, freeze when he walks in the snow and ice. Up until now, his biggest challenge has been finding something that will stay on his little feet. It is so cool to wear little boots like these! There is a pull string on the back of the sock so that it can be tightened around his little legs. He wears this material indoors. In addition to the reflective strips, they are safe too.
Yes, he is 10 years old. My daughter does this weird walk when I make her wear them (which, honestly, is so funny you shouldn't buy them for the price in the wind), and she isn't a big fan of snow. Whenever I make her wear them, I get about a minute and a half extra time to get her outside to pee. Do they fall off while They do, of course. The only purpose they have is to ensure that she pees outside at least 50% of the time until we get through the bitter part of winter. Only use them on his paws when there is snow outside and they have put out ice melt to soothe his little paws- works terribly on his little claws but I must admit they are so cute!.

They are the best I have seen My goal is to order new ones every month, even if I have to order new ones. The boot may not be perfect, but it is way easier than trying to stuff a dogs paw down a narrow shaft of a boot where it is impossible to stretch it open enough to fit into.
