Having not used them in the rain, I do not know whether they are waterproof. However, I predict I will not use them in the rain over the fact that regardless of what boot you use, if it doesn't go all the way up your leg, the inside will get wet. I still think this is a great boot.

There is no way to keep the paws from getting wet with regular dog shoes. It rained consistently for two hours until I removed his muddy boots. I was amazed how clean his feet were when I removed them. The soles of his shoes do not show any signs of dirt or mud. I just bought a size 3 for a 35 pound corgi with a 2 inch chest

The new size chart does not reflect the correct length or width. The only complaint I have is that the size chart is inaccurate. The front and back foot measurements of my dog were taken following the guideline measurements. I found that they were a bit larger than the size measurements when I put them on my dog. After only a quick trip outside to potty, even with both straps tightened, the sandals slip off his feet. As a whole, the material is very high quality. The measurements of my 35 pound dog were 2 inches wide, and I ordered a size 3. My search for a pair of shoes that offers a size 2 aren't looking good, and there aren't any of a similar quality. There are tons of sticker burrs in the yard and he needs good foot protection that will keep his feet from getting stuck in them. As long as I get a smaller size ordered, these will do for now. I would consider giving this product a 4 star rating if it were available in a smaller size than the 3. This is really disappointing since the product itself seems to be well made and just what I need for my dog. I will have to find another brand that offers a smaller size.
