What is the top's sturdiness? My cat is a large one. ?

I, too, have a big cat (15 lbs.). ) Although the cover supported his weight, the hole bothered him. As a result, I removed the top and he is now much happier.

This is by far the best and most useful litter box I've ever had. Cleaning is a breeze. Larger cats will love it. It reduces the amount of litter tracked.

The fact that the top hinges upward and any litter tracked on the top funnels back into the box is one of our favorite features of this litter box. We have two 14-pound cats who work it hard, but we find that scooping once a day is sufficient. We've had a lot of cats and have tried a lot of litter boxes, and this one is by far the best.
