Questions & Answers

Is this going to fit in the round plant litter bin?

Hello. I'm pretty sure the Iris Ellipse will be just a smidgeon too big for the planter litter box. The planter is 20" wide at its widest point and narrows as it progresses. I don't think the two points will line up because the Iris Ellipse is nearly 19 3/4" at its longest point. You could use it without the rim, but you would lose the benefit of the high back. I'm not sure what the planter's bottom diameter is, but it appears to be quite narrow. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is there a two-piece litter box?

Although this is not the one I purchased, the comments confirm that it is in two pieces (which it must be). My top piece that goes on is oval, but it's the same height all the way around. This one did not work for me because I have three large cats who kick like crazy. It appeared to be a kitten-related item. Mine is the one at the bottom of the list.

Will this size pan work for my 16-pound cat?

I put a 20" ceramic cat from the 1970s in it and took pictures, but I can't seem to find a place to put them. Fighting in the pan is no problem for the ceramic cat. It all depends on the size of your 16-pounder. My Rambo is only 14 pounds, so it's a little too small for him. He's a cross between a bobcat and a fox. It's not big enough for a Maine Coon. However, it is large enough for a chubby Manx. For my house cat, I recently purchased my second one. They're fantastic. Clean up is a breeze, and they're adorable to boot. I hope that this has been of some assistance.

The design is perplexing me. In the photo, it looks like an oval toilet, but in the review photos, it looks more like a trash can. ?

The reviews are for a top-load litter box, which is the incorrect product. This isn't the case. The oval design featured in the listing is this one. Ignore the reviews and photos that accompany them. It appears that there was a glitch on Amazon's end, as this listing received the incorrect reviews. Perhaps if you can locate that top-load litter box, you will be able to locate reviews for this product. Perhaps they were reversed.

The best purchase I've ever made for my cats! I've always had cats and have always used a standard rectangular litter pan
5/5

It was a nightmare having my cats track litter all over the house, so I experimented with a litter-free solution. catching pad at the bottom of my boxes The cats, on the other hand, had a habit of urinating or defecating over the edges, making the litter-box ineffective. the smell of a pad Then there was the issue of having to SCRAPE chunks out of the corners on a regular basis. br>br>This oval litter box is by far the best investment I've ever made for my cats. The sides are smooth, and there are no sharp edges where litter can collect. The high sides make it difficult for them to kick litter or messes out of the box, but they aren't scared of it (unlike boxes with lids or tops). These boxes were purchased for my two adult cats who are quite large. One is simply fat (dubbed The Catloaf), while the other is muscular and large (dubbed The Linebacker). This box is comfortable for both of them, and it has greatly simplified my daily scooping chore!.

IT'S WAY TOO SMALL! Don't bother buying this unless you're getting it for a kitten and intend to replace it in three months
3/5

For adult cats, it's extremely small and inconvenient. A good litterbox should be one meter in length. The cat's length (excluding the tail) is 5 times its own length. This was probably close to zero. My cats, numbering 75. Two of them were purchased: I gave back the one I didn't use and threw out the one I did. Spend your money on something that won't make you afraid of the litter box.

Shielded Litter Box - So far, everything has gone according to plan - There will be no peeing outside the box! The Shielded Litter Pan is the subject of this review
5/5

I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I bought this because my cat always manages to pee outside the box (despite the fact that we use a litter box with a cover). The old box's lid doesn't appear to be properly fitted. Because the top of the litter box overlaps the bottom (if that makes sense), this should not be an issue. It's not as if the top just sits on the bottom. I normally use a wee-wee-wee-wee-wee-wee- There's a wee pad under the box that's always wet. For the past two weeks, I've been using it - so far, the teeny-tiny-tiny-tiny-t The sanitary pads are in good shape! My two cats are of average size (not small, but not enormous), and they don't seem to mind. It's the ideal size for us - It's in a small Powder Room, so we're limited in terms of space - This is the ideal size for next to the toilet. br>**Just a quick note- I went out and bought a second one, only to discover pee on the wee wee pad. But I'm fairly certain it was due to my failure to properly secure the top- Simply twist it to the right until it feels snug. There have been no further issues since then- So, hopefully, I'll be able to remove the wee-thing at some point. wee pads! SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS VERSION - EVERY TIME WE PEEED OUTSIDE THE BOX. We've already saved money on those pads thanks to this box! br>I've just added some photos comparing the old and new boxes.

It's a complete disaster! As a breeder, I've used just about every type of litter box imaginable
3/5

The high sides of this box make it difficult to clean, and litter and urine leaks can occur because many cats "go" against the side of the box. Because of its shape, it is also much smaller. It's like an egg, and the litter spills out all over the place. I would not suggest it.

It is extremely popular among cats
5/5

I've always been wary of open litter boxes because every cat I've ever owned has a habit of strewing litter all over the place. This box, on the other hand, has nice, high sides on three sides, as well as a functional entryway - It quickly became a favorite of both of my cats, and they haven't had any trouble making messes with it. They're not even removing litter from the box. br>It's not a big box, but it's big enough for my 16-pound Maine Coon. She doesn't have much room to turn around in this litterbox, but she prefers it to the other larger boxes I have. br>The sleek design complements my modern apartment's décor, and the rounded edges make this box easier to clean than any other I've tried. br>The guard around the top of the box comes off very easily, but this isn't a problem once it's in place and the cats are using it. Because my cats adore it, I'm going to replace all of my other boxes with this one.

The design is fantastic
5/5

When I first took it out of the box, I thought it was enormous (my cat is quite small), but when I put it down, I realized it was about the same size as the old rectangular box, but without the nasty edges and corners that made cleaning difficult. My cat was sticking her bottom out over the back of her old box, so I got this one, and when I put the top part on, it shields the wall, so that won't happen anymore. In addition, when she scoots the litter, the lip all around prevents it from escaping. Because of the oval shape, I was able to position it in the corner at an angle, and it actually takes up less space than the previous one while also looking great. Kitty gave her approval as soon as I placed it on the table.

Very appealing to the eye
4/5

I like the overall shape of this litter box so much that I'm considering purchasing a second one to replace my current one. The black keeps a low profile, and the egg-like shape is far more appealing than a traditional rectangle. It's a little small for a large cat, but all of my adults are small, so I don't mind. I like to use litter liners, and the shield should make it simple to do so. This is a great open top litter box for someone who can't use a hooded litter box but doesn't have a place to hide an unsightly litter box.

The cover is too big for me
3/5

Unfortunately, I received a product that appears to be defective, as the cover does not fit on the litter base. The plastic shell appears to be slightly warped, preventing it from clipping and staying in place. To keep the top part of the litter bed on the main litter bed, I had to use tape. I was too lazy to return it, and I was in desperate need of a new litter box. The layout is reasonable; On three of the four sides, my cat is now unable to pee outside her litterbox. The front is still a problem, but I suppose there isn't much I can do about it at this point. This, at the very least, reduces my workload when it comes to cleaning up after her Majesty Sillykitty, as the litterbox is quite small and best suited to small cats and possibly female cats. It may be difficult for large cats to cope. If the two main components had actually fit together correctly, I would have given this product a higher rating. They don't, unfortunately. It is what it is, and there is nothing that can be done about it. The quality is still lacking.
