I contacted Donna McTiernan, United Pet Group's Consumer Service Supervisor, and inquired as to whether Amazon was selling genuine or counterfeit FURminators. "As of January," she replied. Amazon has become a licensed seller of our products as of September 9, 2014. They used to sell fake tools before that. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can do to assist you. "br>United Pet Groupbr>7794 FIVE MILE ROADbr>Suite 190br>CINCINNATI, OH. Although the question was asked five years ago, the Large size is for cats weighing more than ten pounds, and you can choose between long or short hair.
When used according to the instructions, the deShedding tool removes loose undercoat without causing damage to the coat. FURminator can be reached at PetSupport@spectrumbrands for additional information. com.
The smaller one would be far more effective at removing all of the fur. You could use a bigger one, but because it's bigger than his body, it'll probably catch on his bones and joints. I'm thinking of getting a small one and then upgrading to a larger one, either selling or donating the smaller one to a shelter. Because you have a long-haired cat, whichever method you choose, you will enjoy it.

My poor cat has a couple of undercoat bald patches as a result of my actions. Just make sure you don't overdo it with this one!.
It was a lot more money than I thought we needed to spend, and we already had a brush for our long-term storage. a cat with long hair He was constantly shedding and suffering from hairballs, which caused him to become ill. I finally decided to tell my husband about it a few months later. We agreed that it was worth a shot, despite his skepticism. MAN. I'd buy it all over again if I had the chance. I couldn't believe how much fur it snatched from his underwear! Because the tines are so sharp, I pressed gently. Because of the design of the tines and the amount of undercoat my fluff of a cat has, I did give him a quick brush with a regular cat brush to remove any stray stragglers it left on his top coat. What I mean is that it yanked out all of the loose undercoat, and I worked it from front to back as instructed in YouTube videos. Because the tines have a harder time removing all of the stragglers left on the top coat, I cleaned up with my other brush in less than a minute. I'll admit that I was on the verge of purchasing an off-the-shelf item. After reading reviews about them being knock-offs, I decided not to purchase the brand. Chinese knock-offs with easily broken tines. This is a high-quality item. The tongs are protected by a guard. I even used this brush to pile up the fine downy-looking hairs on our carpet. as if it were a stray strand of hair I would purchase this item again.
This is something I really enjoy. I thought there was no way I'd get a pile of fluff like that after seeing the review photos and the picture on the package. I DID! I had a large pile of hair after less than 10 minutes of brushing her, and she seemed to enjoy it as well. I stopped brushing her at the pile I'm posting a picture of and haven't brushed her in almost two weeks, and the amount of shedding hasn't changed much. Because she's a fluffy cat, I'll probably do this every 7 days. It's been ten days since I realized how incredible it is. On Amazon, the price was $53, which is unbeatable. I thought I was seeing things when I saw 99 at my local PetSmart; it's ridiculous!.
The Furminator is a video game that you can play with your friends. changer. Hair balls were forming in our lovely long hair. Once a week and twice a week Hair ball food, hair ball oil, and regular brushes were all tested. As we held him down, he turned into a feral crazy cat willing to maim because of the oil. That would be impossible to do several times a week. Every time we brush him, we end up with a HUGE pile of hair. Because he's a sensitive cat, we only brush him when he's willing, and even then, we try to keep it to a minute or less. He can get irritated about it in a hurry. You're removing the underlying hair, which is extremely fine. Before he gets upset, we try to gently brush him off and walk away. Lots of compliments and reassurances that he is a good boy. br>br>I'd give this a ten-star rating if I could. When I saw him licking himself, I used to get nervous because I knew he'd throw it up later. The Furminator is my absolute favorite!.
I thought the Furminator brush was fantastic at first, but the more I used it, the more I realized it was simply shaving my cat's hair rather than brushing it. Since then, I've bought an Andis brush and a Pro Portal self-cleaning brush, both of which work well. Hair is simply shaved away by the Furminator.
For hair grooming, this is a terrible product! We have a purebred ragdoll cat, and we purchased this in the hopes of keeping her fur nice and tangle-free over time since we adopted her at the age of eight weeks. It disgusts her! And I discovered dry blood oozing from each pore on the areas where I brushed her fur with this. She would let me comb her at first, but after I finished brushing her back and moved on to other areas (which have even softer fur and more sensitive skin), she would start nibbling on the brush and walk away, which I know is because this brush is irritating her skin. Who wants to sit there and let this brush pull on their hair follicles until they bleed? We stopped using this product after a few attempts because I felt terrible for her. br>In conclusion, this brush is both expensive and ineffective. If it hadn't been past the return window when we discovered that this brush was causing her skin to bleed and that it was the worst brush we'd ever tried (glove type, hair brush type), we would have returned it. We gave it our all), and we would have returned it for a refund. Believe me when I say that the high cost is not justified.
I'm fortunate in that she has always enjoyed being brushed, but I couldn't figure out why so much excess hair ended up on our flours when I brushed her on a regular basis. Well, I saw this advertised a while back and when I saw it was on sale last week, I decided to buy it because I figured if it didn't work, at the very least I wouldn't have paid full price, and I'm so glad I did. It's truly incredible. My cat appears to have shed two pounds of fur. She's much calmer now, and her hair is piled neatly rather than strewn about the place. She, too, enjoys it, as evidenced by the photographs. The photos don't do it justice because the amount of hair appears to be much smaller than it is. The best part is that she is more at ease. In fact, I was horrified when I saw how much hair came off of her; I had no idea there was such a thick undercoat underneath, and she must have been hot. My mother was so taken aback by the photos that I had to order one for her large, short-haired dog. After seeing my photos on Facebook, a few people asked where they could order them the next day at work! Thank you very much, furminator!.
I bought it on September 17th, and the teeth have started to fall out three months later. I'm very dissatisfied with the quality of the furminator, especially since I paid $15 for it. It worked well when it had all of its teeth, but I'm disappointed that it broke already.
