Once I returned from the vet's office, I noticed that my cat's carrier stunk of animal waste. The vinyl "floor" and the foam inside the carpet were removed and laid aside. Next, I placed the carrier in my washing machine, set it on the delicate cycle, and ran it without spinning. I stepped outside and dried the item (soaked to the skin). It looks fine and there is no odor left.
Airlines like Delta state that a seat's maximum height under the seat is 11 inches. As stated on the carrier, this carrier is 11" tall. Would it fit if it were flexible?
A search of the entire carrier did not turn up any information on where it is made, it also did not come with a box in which the carrier was packaged, just folded up with plastic wrappings. It's my guess that it's not

Earlier today, I got it in the mail. There is no doubt that my cat approves. As of now, I haven't used it, but it appears to be of good Here is my 8 pound cat modeling the carrier (8lbs, but very fluffy).

It is not possible for me to give more than 2 stars to this item because it produces a horrible odor. My head gets a headache the moment I touch it or am around it for more than a minute. The smell is so strong and so chemical that you will feel like you've been punched The smell hasn't dissipated since the item arrived outside, but it was left outside for the past day. There is no way I can use this. The product looks well made, so it's such a pity.
As amazing as it is, this carrier has stood up to my kitten scraping at it from the inside trying to escape, as well as from a distance, when he jumps all over it to play when it is left on the floor. In order to get my two cats to the vet, I had to purchase another carrier. The one I used for my 1 1/2 year old cat was wonderful for him and I am thankful that I used this one for him. The younger cat I have is not declawed as the older cat It was an old cat that was already declawed when I adopted him, and the younger one is a local rescue. After living in a house for more than a year, the youngest cat freaked out after taking his first car ride. In an effort to free himself, he clawed his way past the carrier. However much we tried to calm him, he wanted to be left alone. There was no damage to the carrier. Product is excellent. I am very happy with it.
