Questions & Answers

If you touch it, is it immediately obvious if it is on or not? Today was the first time I got mine, and I've been using it for several hours now. I do not notice any warmth from it! ?

While I purchased a large and medium perch, I would have thought that one would feel a warm sensation when touching it, more towards the middle within a short interval of time after it has been Those interested in contacting Dawn may do so via [email protected]. The staff at www.smartbodytech.com will answer any questions or problems you have. The large one broke at the connection point with the cage, but it was replaced without any problem. They were very informed and nice to deal with.

Can you tell me what size perch I should ?

Many sites exist on the internet to help you determine the size of your bird. I came across the following The size of the perch should be Among the birds on this list are African Greys, Amazons and Small Cockatoos. Perches of a large size It is between 5 cm and 3 cm. Approximately 8 cm

Due to the low voltage (perch side of the transformer) is there any chance of running this device through a lamp dimmer (AC side) to control the heat level, say something that can handle a 300-watt bulb Can you tell me how many watts the bulb has?

Suppose you want the cage temperature to be the same temperature as escargots, then get a heater with a It wouldn't be efficient to put a regulator on this perch, since the cage is an open cage and it would heat the entire area.

Could a conure live in a bird of that size? How about a green cheek and a ?

It doesn't matter what size you choose. There is only one size available to me, They sometimes just sit near it rather than sit on it. It is a bit wide for their feet but it is the smallest size. I got it for a parakeet/budgie. This package features a cockatiel on the label, but the larger model should be okay for your Depending on what size perch your birds prefer, you can go up to a medium perch. There are pros and cons to this heated perch for birds
5/5

As an owner of a bird, I am writing this review in order to save birds from some of the things I have read about in other reviews here, written by owners who are very passionate about their birds, but have a limited understanding of them. Many types of birds, tall and short, large and small, all rescues, occupy my home. I have owned at least twenty Thermo Parches over the past decade, tall and short. Before I tell you why I buy them, let me first explain why I buy A sick bird, or a lonely bird, or a healthy bird in an aviary on a winter night (especially a female bird) are best when they are being treated by a veterinary professional. A sick bird, an elderly bird, or a bird sleeping alone will find this perch especially relaxing. The older birds that are scared of it are like young healthy males who usually don't care about it - it terrifies them at first and some don't get over it. The testosterone level in their bodies is so high that they remain warm except when it is extremely In addition, the perch is too smooth, and size small isn't as small as it should be for finches, canaries, etc. Having said that, most small birds - usually finches and canaries - are compatible with this perch. Zebra finches and even the smallest of them You should find a way to comfortably perch on them if they wish to be warm. It is a blessing for many birds in cold, lonely, or unhealthy circumstances, and I believe they can contribute to extending some of these birds' active lifespans. There's something bad to tell you. As I mentioned before, the size, texture, and shape of the object are all very important. I wouldn't call it ideal, far from it. Nonetheless, buying and trying it for your bird is still worth it. You have to appreciate how important warmth is for birds in less than ideal circumstances. Food and water are not as important. The difference between life and death in a sick bird may be determined by its condition

Next The company may have switched to having them manufactured by a new manufacturer recently. It was never necessary to repair the cage attachments on the older ones. I have not had any of my stringers break so far, even when they are being used by heavier birds, but I've read that a few have recently failed. The quality of the materials is still generally quite good. Breakage is still a rare occurrence, and is not something to be overly concerned about unless you have a very heavy bird. That brings us to the third, and biggest, The heating process. have never had any of my perches over the edge of the edge My house had been filled with heat until last night when I discovered one. While doing a last check in my parrot room in the dark before closing the door for the night, I noticed that Oliver, my young male mitred conure, was making a strange sound. I went over to investigate what was going on. always sits on his heated perch, which is unusual for him. In any case, I removed my bird as quickly as possible, disconnected the perch from the wall, and let it cool before returning him to the perch. It's obvious that he is a very smart individual The reason he did that was to alert me to something Just a few moments earlier it had started to rapidly over-expand It is hot. There was a review on here by an owner who says "it was too warm with some hot spots". "Unfortunately, it's not going to work, but as a concept, it's pretty good". "No" is all I can say at this point. It is important to remove the perch if it is too hot. Take action immediately! The bird might lose toes or feet, or even get an infection as a result of being burned. I think these things are overrated because I always wondered if they could over-perform My over-the-top tv never lasted long enough for me to miss it The heat last night had lasted until yesterday morning. I am sure that you can see why these things are wonderful. Unfortunately, they are plastic electrical items that are cheap and can malfunction. However, there is no rule that says you must never use them because they can be very useful. It is also important to check the temperature of all the hands that you use every day. Take them out of your hand if they have any more than a pleasant warmth. The last thing I would like to mention is Wrapping these perches is not a good idea, regardless of how tempting it may seem. It doesn't matter what you do. A high rate of interest can lead to overextension It may cause a fire or heat up excessively. If you do not want to use it for any reason, there is another product available. Easily attached to the cage wall, this panel provides low-level heat. As well, that has also been successful for me and I feel it's more reliable than the other method.

I hope my bird doesn't get too hot

This product is a scam! Do not buy it! This brand of heated perches has been sold to me multiple times. All my others were a bit different with a spiral wire protecting the cord. We had low wattage lights and they lasted for only a few years. Because the last one I had died, I bought a new one. Today, the updated version arrived and was installed (small for my Eclectus) I can't stand to touch it, it's so hot. This can never be allowed to be accessed by my bird. In addition to finding fabric with which to cover the cable, I will also see if wrapping it might help. My return will depend on whether or not there is a problem. It is not a low-wattage lamp. The temperature is way too high! Announcing an update In order to do so, I sewed a DOUBLE layer around the fleece material so it would fit like a A PROPER TEMPERATURE CONTROL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NEW DESIGN. I beg you to don't trust it, and just stick it inside the cage so that you can check it out and if it is Birds will be injured if you put your feet on them.

The item I ordered was supposed to be small, but I received the large. Despite trying to grasp the shaft halfway, my cockatiel cannot do so.

I'D LIKE TO GO BACK TO THE Italics in original I just wanted to tell you how disappointed I am! The exact same perch I purchased over three years ago in mint condition was wonderful for the first three years, but I recently relocated and reattached the perch to the new location

The plastic screw was tightened too tightly, which caused it to break. Having purchased a new perch, I discovered it is not made the way it used to be. The clock starts ticking every few seconds within a few days. There is something scary going on here. The ticks are back. Right now it is winter, so I thought I'd write a little bit about it Italics in original His graciousness in refunding the money was much appreciated The perch was defective but you let me keep it. In response to other complaints about similar issues, Amazon removed them for a short time while the problem was fixed. A couple of minutes later, the perch stopped ticking, but was certainly The last time I checked, I found it to be unresponsive I see they are again available on Amazon. My goal was to order another perch in case the problem had been resolved. That is not the case! The temperature is not as hot as it used to be! We hope it doesn't result in a fire that ends up in an electrical wire! It was a gracious gesture on Amazon's part to replace the perch with another. This is the FOURTH time we have made it to a perch in two It happened after a day, as it did with all the others. After receiving this latest perch & diving gear, I have already had one week since receiving it The ticking has stopped. I just went to see what it is doing now. Do you know what's going on? We're in the middle of a WINTER! There is no longer a working version of the game- One week or less from now! A recall of this product is warranted and essential Italics in original The drawing board needs to be returned to and H Manufacturing needs to revise its product Learn what they are doing differently today than they did a decade It is very disappointing to learn this!.

There is a danger associated with this product! It would be amazing if I could leave zero feedback, but I won't be able to, so I'm leaving There is a risk associated with this product
3/5

A scream erupted from my bird after it was plugged in. Keeping her feet lifted is now becoming a habit for her. It was reported to the vet that her feet were burned. As I was trying to unplug it, the plugin was so hot that it burnt my hand too. In either case, I would be very careful using it and check it often or simply don't buy it if you don't want to risk it. However, I have no idea if this is just a defective one or a regular one.
