I buy these cells every two years or so, so when it was time to replace my current one, I went ahead and bought this one. When I received the cell and installed it, the main unit displayed an error code indicating insufficient water flow. The unit ended up being a dud. I asked the seller for a replacement and was told that I needed to contact Hayward because they weren't responsible for defective products. I contacted a Hayward representative, who determined that the cell was defective after some troubleshooting and promised to send me a replacement. Hayward sent me a replacement cell, which worked flawlessly. Over the years, I've bought six of these cells and have never had a bad one. This was purely coincidental. br>br>Hayward is a fantastic company that stands behinds its products, but buyers should be aware that the seller bears no responsibility. Going straight to Hayward, as in this case, will reduce stress.
Unless you're looking for a replacement, this isn't what you're looking for. I returned it and have yet to receive my credit, despite the fact that the days specified have passed. If that's what you're looking for, it's fine, but it's not stated that way!.
I found the best deal on a replacement salt cell for my Hayward Salt Machine. We were back in business in a matter of minutes after installing Swim. It also includes a new o-ring. gasket for the ring My old gasket had broken, and I spent weeks looking for a replacement (which is also expensive). After I finally found one and installed it, I discovered that my salt cell needed to be replaced; I now have an extra, which is fine, but it's good to know that the gasket is not sold separately from the unit.
It's amazing, and a little annoying, that a 180 dollar item failed after only 7 months of use, and right after the first ever superchlorination process. Because it's supposed to come with a one-year warranty, I'm sure I'll get a replacement. Depending on how that goes, I'll make changes to this.

My old phone's battery was running low, so I went out and bought a new one. On the system box, the new one now displays a low water flow error code. I swapped them back in to make sure the unit wasn't broken, but the "cell life low" message remained. Replace the old one with the new one - I double-checked that I followed all of the instructions, but the unit box's water flow error remained. When I called a pool company to have it checked for me, they said it was probably due to a bad cell phone. I'm going to give it another shot. I'm hoping Amazon will allow me to order another.
It was not worth the money, and it lasted only a season. Because there was insufficient funds to replace the entire system, it was only replaced once more. There are some Jaywards who are superior to others. This time, I'm hoping to get a little more use out of it, but we'll see.
The item arrived in good condition and was a perfect match for my old cell phone. It takes less than 15 minutes to complete installation. Make sure the electrode connectors are covered in gel.
