This is something you should be able to accomplish with the product. I used it to reattach shattered pool tiles. They held up perfectly well.
I wouldn't put it over existing tile; instead, I'd remove the old tile.
In the neighborhood of 6 square feet
I'm guessing yes. It's nothing more than a grout mix.

First and foremost, I am the polar opposite of a do-it-yourselfer. self-starter. But, after paying the pool company $300 last year to replace 10 tiles that had broken during the winter, I needed to come up with a better way to replace the 72 tiles that had broken this year. I bought EZ Patch 3 as a low-cost, low-risk DIY. I followed the instructions to the letter and replaced all 72 tiles on my own. It was a piece of cake. I even had to use thinset to fill in some gaps where the previous stone work had chipped away. The end result was incredible! I calculated that I had made a $1000 profit!.
I liked that I could thin it out with more water as it thickened, but it set quickly enough that the tiles didn't sag after placement and I didn't have to use spacers to keep them in place. Also, rather than a bag, I prefer the container because it makes it easier to store any leftovers.
This is what I did with a weathered and chipped outdoor dog statue. It was able to fill in all of the gaps. I used a comb to restyle and texture the hair. Working with it was a breeze. The dog has been repainted and is now waterproof. He appears to be in excellent condition. I still have a lot of it, and it's a three-foot statue that I completely reworked. Patching pools is something I'm not sure about, but it worked well in my project.
We had approximately 57 tiles fall off our pool, so I got this. I drained the pool to the proper level, then got in there and fixed it! I could have used a larger size and filled in the gaps with grout as well! I also glittered it to make the pool look even more dreamy! a mermaid's fantasy come true! br>I also had people come out and give me a quote to fix it, and they wanted to spend $16,000 to redo the entire pool! I'll do it myself, thank you very much.
A winter ice storm caused some pool tiles to fall off. My husband bought something from the pool store that I couldn't use because it was so difficult. We didn't want to pay for them to be replaced because we didn't want to pay our pool company. I'm so glad I came across it. It was extremely simple to use and functioned flawlessly. I replaced them all yesterday, and now all I have to do is wait for the grout I ordered to arrive so I can finish the job.
This cement is ideal for pool and fountain tile repairs. I was able to successfully repair some of the tiles at the bottom of my fountain that had become loose. After one day of curing, the cement hardens quickly and remains solid under water. I'm a "do-it-yourselfer," and I found this product to be very user-friendly. Because it sets up quickly, only make small batches with it.
I received a quote for $10,000 to replace some tile that had fallen off due to the winter. It took me a few days of work, but the tile now looks better than it did before the tiles fell off. We certainly got our money's worth here, in my opinion. It's simple to use, and there's plenty of it to do some basic repairs.
We were able to complete about 20-percent of the repairs that we had planned. This product worked well for me when I needed to replace a few feet of missing edge tile this spring. Expect a maximum of 15-minutes. With a 3 pound jug, 20 feet of 6" border tile.
