Originally, I bought this solar panel to cover an above ground pool of 15 feet. The thing has been great so far! The pool was kept at 82 for one day and by the fourth day, it had reached more than 90 degrees! The program works as stated, but it will be more efficient if it is modified. There should be enough sunlight and warm temperatures. I think the solar panel will work if set up according to the directions, but from what I have seen in the past it puts considerable pressure on the pump regardless of its size. I have purchased two of the intex pools, so I probably have two of them (see image There is no pretty setup, but I do now have one pump for filtering the pool, and another for running the heated water (there is no filter built into the pump for an easier flow of water). The timers for both are set. Due to hot temperatures and constant sun exposure for a week, the pool rose 15 to 18 inches It's 20 degrees. A leaking connection in the box when connected to the pump was ultimately the cause of this pool's heat being maintained for such a long time. An Intex solar cover also helped maintain the heat in this pool for a significant amount of time. As stated on the box, they fit the size I needed but I still had trouble connecting them. Luckily, all I needed was teflon tape, so you might need some very small plumbing experience if you plan on using this with.

With a price tag of $130, I'd rather use a cheaper alternative. Because there is a good reason that, as of this writing with 163 reviews, they only hold a 3 star rating. The list price of $160 is the suggested retail price There's just more of a money grab going on. There don't seem to be any quality solar heaters available at this price point on Amazon, based on searches on the site. I feel good about the good I do - The clamps are made of metal and look fantastic. I am* *br* The pool temperature is raised, but all black solar heaters do the same. I am* *br* It is easier to flow through large tubes. Here are the bad things- The material was a little thin - Two metal clamps are all you need. In order to use your own clamps after that, you must bring your own. You will need adaptors if you do not have the larger clamps, which is your problem according to the company. I am* *br* The instructions say that you should use Bestway adaptors if you have that pool. . . As part of this kit, they are not included, so for some participants this may pose an issue. I am* *br* In the large openings are rubber adaptor boots able to fit. You might want to ask your kids to test fit for you if they are helpful. 1) My Issues - In addition to the out side, the inside side also There was a problem with the intake's threads, so the gasket was unable to seal. There was a significant leak and I lost about 3 inches of water over 24 hours of swimming in a smaller pool (1300 gallons). My leak was reduced to an acceptable level after replacing lost water and fiddling with tape and another gasket for 30 minutes. I expected higher quality at 130'ish, but it was a cheapo-type cast iron skillet Heated to the tune of a dollar at Walmart. I am* *br* I tried several solutions to fix the leak, but it got worse again. (and it worked. ) 1) ABS glue, 2) PVC glue, 3) hot glue gun.
