Depending on the cartridge, they can be either bromine or chlorine. I use
I really appreciate your If you set the bromine detector to 0, some bromine will inevitably escape. Even if the amount is negligible, you can set the slow release to 1 if you want an effective slow release.
It is likely that the mineral cartridge will last about two to two and a half times as long as You can't really change it unless you want to.

I have been using the Frog mineral cartridge with the @ease chlorine cartridges in my hot tub for the past year. Caldera spas are a very easy system to use, as I have a 6 person hydrotherapy pool (400 gallons). The mineral cartridge needs to be replaced every 3 months when the water changes. A PH of 7 or above is the secret for this system to operate properly. Cartridges of chlorine usually last for about 3 weeks, but sometimes they keep for 4 or 5 weeks. PH tends to drop after the first month of a water change, so I use baking soda to raise it again. It's not hard. I am especially concerned during the winter when I do not want to play with chemicals and test kits in the cold.
The packaging color and what is printed on it are different from what I bought from the pool store, as well as the fact that it is only a quarter The hot tub water is cloudy and smells bad after only 1 month! ****UPDATES****My hot tub water has been cloudy and smelly for 1 month! A cartridge I bought in a pool store did not work as well as the one I bought online. There were issues with pH and alkalinity being balanced, and bromine did not hold like it had when it went in.
As you can see, the cartridge of Spa Frog Minerals was nearly empty when it was send to me. A representative of the company contacted me once I read similar reviews to mine. He committed to getting back to me shortly. A number of photographs of the nearly empty cartridge are also attached. No one responded to my post, which disappointed me. A company called King Technology is the only one that makes mineral and disinfectant cartridges compatible with many popular spa brands, and it owns the patents. Taking quality control into account, you would think they care. That doesn't seem to be the case. If your Spa Frog cartridge is less than three quarters full, please make sure that it is returned. In the event of an empty Spa Frog cartridge, there are several workarounds. Adding your own product to the cartridges is easy simply drill a hole in the top, insert your own product and close the hole with an appropriate A standard source of silver chloride can be found on Ebay, and it is used in the mineral cartridges. Caustic chemicals are not present in this solution. There are many retail stores for buying chlorine or bromine disinfectants. Be sure to use caution when you refill your cartridge since it is caustic. Do not use a cork stopper but rather a rubber stopper. You should know At least 50 percent of "available chlorine" is what you want to see. It is of little disinfectant value to use chlorine that's not "available. " Nevertheless, you can change the setting on the cartridge to lower the amount of chlorine available.
Another workaround is to simply stop using the mineral cartridge Make your water quality a point of pride with old-fashioned methods. Test kits are available for use. There are a lot of benefits to this method, and it is very easy to follow. In conclusion, you will experience a drastic reduction in the number of chemicals you need due to your ozonator. I hope you enjoy hot tubbing!.
Another reviewer's point of view concurs with mine. It is not sufficient silver granules in this product. Those documents have been tampered with, in my opinion. There is less fluid in the new cartridge I just got than the one I'm replacing in my hot tub that's been there for four months already. The item will not be repurchased.
It is so much easier to take care of my hot tub with the mineral cartridge system from Frog Spa. In the past three times I've ordered through Amazon, I have never been dissatisfied. It doesn't matter that the cartridge says it's for a bromine system as I use chlorine in my spa, since I have verified with my spa dealer that the chemicals are the same. A lighter cartridge like this costs almost $10 less than the one in a darker color that says it is for chlorine systems. If I change my chlorine cartridge monthly, the water in my spa stays clear for three to four months without exhibiting any strong chemical smell.
I have been using these cartridges for a couple of years now and cannot imagine live without them. Due to my hectic schedule during the week, I rarely check on the hot tub during the week, so the bromine typically runs low before I get around to checking. As a result I feel like I have a bit of breathing room when an incident like that occurs. This gives me the perfect balance for our 250 gallon hot tub that has a mineral cartridge set all the way to 6 and a bromine cartridge set all the way to 1. When you have a larger tub, you may have to set the bromine a little higher so the water is disinfected well.
Buying the minerals from Amazon has always been a good deal for me for years.
What others have said. In this little package, there is not much to no product. I won't buy from you ever again.
