This filter was provided by discountfilterstore and it will not have a handle or top that can be removed similar to the originals that came with your Jacuzzi Having ordered them as spares in July, I knew I would need them when I cleaned the spa and refilled it this fall. The 1st week of September was when we did that. Once I removed the plastic covering, I saw that they looked correct when I had unpacked them. When I tried to screw the tops off to let the water fill them to drain the air, it didn't work. I tried unscrewing one and struggling with the other, but one will come off and the other won't. Nevertheless, that is the only thing I can do at this point. These are my old ones. I threw them away. On the next day, I contacted discount filterstore and they told me the top is not meant to be removed, even though one of the ones they filled is exactly like the original. After some back and forth they do not stand by their 100% guarantee, so they declare it to be the defective one. Interestingly, discountfilterstore pawned the filter on Amazon citing a stocking issue and saying they don't have a removable top available in stock for the order they filled online. This means, in other words, that nobody is standing by what they have Aside from that, it is kinda hard to return something unused when you don't know until after you use it whether it works. The Jacuzzi brand filters are not quite as thick and durable as those from Jacuzzi, but they fit and function just as well at a fraction of the cost.
The cover keeps the water clean in our jacuzzi tub and fits perfectly. As far as price is concerned, it is not too expensive compared to name brands.
Replaced the spare with a new one. I found the spa to be much more reasonable than the local spa and the brand was exactly the same as the hot tub.
