They're becoming increasingly difficult to come by these days. They are available from a number of online retailers. For at least the last year, and possibly longer, Amazon has been without actual units.
On the back side, tighten the screw into the port. Then back off a fraction of a turn, and you'll hear it flowing.
If you have the fight adapter, they're compressed gas that releases when screwed into whatever line you're trying to clear. They don't have anything to do with electricity.

When using a co2 cartridge to clear out the mosquito magnet, there are a few things you should be aware of. 1. These do not fit out of the box; you will need to purchase an adapter to screw onto the machine's co2 port, which can be found on Amazon. 2. If the unit displays a low or no gas warning, this is just one of many factors preventing proper gas flow to the unit. If you're trying to blow the line out with CO2, you'll need to use 4 to 5 of these cartridges in a row, according to the manufacturer's repair guide; using just one will not work. When it comes to this being the wrong size, a half-second or second of extra co2 flow won't make a difference, especially when mosquito magnet repair guides recommend using four cartridges in a row to clear the line, so all of these people complaining about it being the wrong size are listening to the manufacturer, who will never recommend a 3rd party product when they sell the same product themselves. People who have common sense. My MM executive had a low gas/no gas flow warning, and I needed to replace the propane tank line/regulator, as well as the fuel nozzle. After warming up, the low gas light came on again. Next, I tried the regulator reset, making sure to open propane slowly so as not to trip the regulator again, but it didn't work. blew out the line with four co2 cartridges in a row, WORKED LIKE A CHARM, and the unit is now fully functional. I've been using the CO2 cartridges after every propane tank exchange for the past 5 years and have never had any problems.
These CO2 cartridges were purchased to go with the mosquito magnet, as suggested. However, because there is no place to use them on the machine, I contacted mosquito magnet, who informed me that these cartridges are recalled and should not be sold. According to Amazon, I am unable to return them due to safety concerns. Please do not purchase!.
too big. Not at all what I had anticipated. The manufacturer's CO2 was the right size and was "known to work on the machine. " The BIG canister, on the other hand, "might be harmful to the Mosquito Magnet machine-- NOT AND UNKNOWN Woodstream (the manufacturer) has recommended it. In fact, we discovered that Woodtream no longer recommends CO2 as a cleaning agent. br>Would like to return or get a refund, but there appears to be a barrier from the mega canister's manufacturer. hmmmm.
According to some customer reviews, these cartridges do not fit. An adapter is included in your Magnet. This was something you've always needed. The cartridge is inserted into the adapter, which is then inserted into the Magnet. The cartridges function properly.
One was completely empty, while the others were in good condition.

I'm out $51 because it's not returnable. Since I ordered four packages, as I did last year, and received the correct item, I received an 80. This has made me very angry.
I'm not sure if they work or not. Because the mosquito magnet did not work, I had to return it. And I don't think I'll ever need these again. Because they do not accept returns, I am stuck with them.
