There is only one type of bulb available the purplish one I like the color blue.
You can easily change the bulb, but you must take apart the light to do so
I have substituted a bulb for this one. There appears to be no issue with it.

The summer is just around the corner and I have over a year's experience with this rental unit. Bulb looks like it could be alive, but you can't tell from that. I guess we'll find out when the time comes. It is also important to be careful not to break the bulb by forcibly pulling it out, since there is a small clip with a screw that holds it Overall, the entire process was completed in about 15 minutes, including the cleaning of dust accumulated on the surface.
There was no problem with the bulb Surely there had to be a better design if you did not have to unscrew six different hard-to-reach screws The problem is that there are no access screws (and they are hard to replace)! This will be down every four months, right?.
As soon as we go outside in the front yard we always get bitten -- I hate this.
Even though the company told me to replace the bulb every four months, it still worked after two years. state that a new bulb is killing many more bugs than a bulb that is glowing blue. Therefore, even though it emits the attractant, it may not be working at the same rate as a brighter The other day I noticed a pile of DOA bugs all around the old bulb, so I decided to replace it. There's nothing better than mosquitoes! The truth (literally).
A clamp holds the bulb in place at the end of the screw. Once you have completed all this, you can then pull out the bulb and replace it before putting the whole thing back together. I spent about 30 minutes doing all of this. It's just a matter of being patient.
Mosquitoes are attracted to the trap and are killed in it. It is for this reason that you should run it 20 seconds before you start It is hard to determine how effective a program is because of a few This trap collects quite a few mosquitoes, as well as many other insects such as moths, flying ants, small wasps, etc. If you empty the trap, you will probably have difficulty seeing mosquitoes since they are much smaller than all the other insects. You can also see the mosquitoes under the remains if you sift through the pile. There is no way to know how many people are killed relative to the overall population in the area. Please accept my sincere thanks for your assistance. As long as we keep buying bulbs and using the traps, we think we have enough evidence of their effectiveness.
bought an extra bulb to have as a spare since they last about 9 months before they need to be replaced. In the meantime, I changed the bulb We had to replace the old one because it A week after I switched on the unit, no bugs were attracting me, even though there was a violet glow. I wondered how this unit worked so well last year and now is getting no bugs. When I changed the bulb, I discovered that there was no difference in brightness It turned out that only one of the two bulbs in the new bulb was working.
Replacement lights are a must for any Dynatrap owner. They should be replaced every 6 months or so, and I've found that staying up with this schedule helps keep the Dynatrap at its best. It only makes sense that the bulb should be kept up to date since it is among the most important elements of the system.
