turned out to be a great misting system around my porch since it glued right in with the rest of the PVC. A few misters did not work as they should have As soon as I sent a message to the company, I received new cards.
The 10 of these I purchased are for using with my heated starting table in my greenhouse, where they will be used as misting and irrigation systems. In terms of fit itself, I placed the nozzles about 15 inches apart and a "foot away" from each other It alternates between a 20 degree angle and a 45 degree angle. When pressure is enough to mist, they leak around the threads, causing erratic streams in different directions along with it. This is why we are better off simply not misting. There might be a solution to this with rings. During the past few days, I've tried about 3 of them While the nozzles are so small, this seems like it would be a good fix, given how difficult it is to do.
I was able to assemble the system easily and now it is functioning properly. Buying the same parts from stores that I am apparently forbidden to talk about negatively was significantly cheaper than buying the same parts from me. The original nozzles did not work and 40% were replaced because they either didn't work at all or sprayed a stream of water instead of mist. There are replacement nozzles available online at a reasonable price with quick shipping on Amazon. I assume that the entire industry goes for a cheap price over quality control, as my replacements (from a different company) also had a very high failure rate. Buying a few spare nozzles and changing them as needed is all it takes to change the nozzles.
It is difficult to be close enough to get the cooling effect without getting too wet with the particle size and size. It is necessary to have a fairly high water pressure in order to get the spray effect. However, there is a lot of water being sprayed. There is a delicate balance to be struck.
There were several nozzles that were not spraying properly. However, simple pvc can be used to install it. It is imperative that you tighten the nozzles since they leak badly. It took me a while to order different nozzles since most shot a straight stream in place of a mist. I contacted the seller and he told me to order 5 more and he You don't want to waste your money haha. Their products are definitely not backed by a guarantee.
The first thing to notice is that these are not to specs. I mean by that that PVC pipe in standard sch 40 from home depot does not fit very well into these. In addition to using blue pipe glue for PVC, I put a little on both sides since the fit is SO tight. It didn't get much glue into the joint either, and I had leaks. None of the nozzles leak at all and I'm grateful that they are all sealed with rubber gaskets. There is no leakage because they are flat against the pipes. Several of the nozzles simply spray instead of misting. It wouldn't be worth my time and money to spend time and money on them Could you tell me where I can get ones made to specs made by quality manufacturers?.
These misters have been installed in my horse barn, under the shader in the outside arena, and on my enclosed front porch, which is located in the desert southwest. I'm in love with Summer is just around the corner.
When cutting your PVC pipe make sure that you clean every inch of dust created from cutting or the misters will clog. I may just run without the misters installed at first to make sure everything is clear. Stainless steel misters perform better than plastic ones. There is not a great distance between the blast radius and the target. A little over two feet and a half? It seems like these are constructed to be used for something close to a downward projection.
