Questions & Answers

The nozzles pictured here are they direct replacements for the Orbit 10106?

And, yes, they do have the little rubber ones as well A few generic replacements lack rings that some of the originals do. Compared to buying them in big box stores, this is a much better deal

Would you please tell me the drill bit size to use to drill into a pvc pipe so that these can be installed. How are you?

Your choice of products from Aootech is greatly appreciated. The diameter of the thread is 5 mm in the picture. You will need to insert the nozzle into the PVC tube along the As you turn the nozzle, you should turn the thread to the bottom. It won't be enough to keep turning for as long as possible. I find this method to be more secure. I hope this helps you in some way.

Is it possible to mount them on the cobra mist stand? Thanks. ?

The answer is yes, we see a lot of people buying it for that reason.

When the mist is at its thickest, how large is it?

It seems to me that these are about 50 micron drops at about 40 psi, but I don't have specific specs. A hugely off-the-mark result could occur (and But I use experience from other mist nozzles that come with a spec to determine how to use it)

I wish I had better news to share
3/5

My horses spend a lot of time at my two barns each day, so I use a lot of misting during the summer. I'm very familiar with this type of nozzle, and only 1 or 2 out of 12 that I replaced worked when the water was turned The tips begin coming out if I tap them with a screwdriver, which is usually effective. Sometimes they will just pop like that. Then, don't tap like you are angry. (Don't tap like you are angry or they will break. gave up on them and the next day the company sent me an email asking what I thought, and I responded, "Same thing. ". Despite that, the staff were very courteous and returned my money without my even asking. While it helped a little, I wish that the tips had been more effective. In the past, I have ordered tips every summer from someone else and have never had such a difficult time with them. One good thing is that they did not ask me to return them I had no intention of doing so. My orders from a couple of years ago are still there, so I'll just look at them and order some from there. Rather than having to go through this process again, I would appreciate it if anybody out there knew of a dependable place that I could use.

I have no problems with it
4/5

believe the people who give 1 or 2 stars don't have much knowledge about the process. The mister hoses had to be replaced every couple of years, so I installed these in 1/2" pvc to replace them. Then I put about 20 in and it worked fine. Two suggestions for you are to put a threaded end cap on the end and, after drilling all the holes, flush the pipe to get the plastic out. Misters like these will clog if they are filled with sand or grit. Like most everyone, if you have sediment on your water, use a filter.

These misting nozzles are of poor quality and defective in many ways
3/5

Initially, these were designed to run at up to 995 PSI - according to specifications. The time range I used was from 600 to 800 As soon as the center insert hit 800 PSI, it began to blow In each case, I turned off the pump, replaced it with a new one and tried again, and within seconds, another would blow. Having tried five of them already, I removed all of them from my system and replaced them with my old ones until I On the right are two images with blowout centers, while on the left are two that have no damage.

It was good quality and a good price
5/5

I bought several packs and was able to use about 40 of them for my project. Only one of those 40 leds was defective. I do not think it is The distance I covered was approximately 100 feet As far as these spray heads are concerned, they were perfectly functioning. I used 10. 5 PVC, incorporated valves, drain plugs, etc. The mist is very fine. I was fairly guided by a youtube video, but I turned it into a 100 foot system with all kinds of turns (search for #3 Project 15/15 (Water Misting Tubes) on youtube). If you are going to drill holes for these heads, you should do so with a 5/32 bit, and afterward you should screw the heads in. In addition to the threads on the heads, the PVC will create its own threading and snug up nicely. Similarly, screwing in the heads afterwards can be quite a pain. You can accomplish it with your fingers or pliers, but hand-held is certainly easier. Later I discovered you can use the head of a cordless drill to wedge the drill bit into it and use it just like a regular As soon as I realized this, it was a breeze to put the spray heads in the PVC pipe. By the way, I checked my water pressure from the hose using a measureman water pressure gauge (on Amazon), and it was 70 PSI. My front end of the system also comprised of an Orbit 10109W mist calcium inhibitor filter (amazon). From home improvement stores I got all of the PVC and PVC adapters I needed. The brackets I used to hang all the PVC came from Dollar Tree. These brackets are a terrific alternative as every other option I considered would have been much more expensive and would not work as well. They come in a 5-pack of five. It's one dollar for this $1 pack, so this is the most economical part of the To anyone who might be interested, a 100-word summary of The 40 of these heads with the drill hole and screw in method directly into the PVC can be used with a 40 ft system, using 1/2 " PVC at 70 PSI water pressure with a lot of turns and a lot of turns! Even though my water is turned to maximum, I still don't need to use it all the way. If you wanted to, you could probably lower the PSI and still have this work. Alternatively, you may use fewer heads or a smaller overall distance if you prefer.

You need to take your time installing them, but they work well
5/5

The skill level is 2. I love the way they work. A city water pressure of 75 psi was used on 100 feet of 3/4 PEX. To get the nozzles to screw straight, I drilled pilot holes with an undersize drill and partially tapped them before using the tap. tap the hole to the full size, the nozzle won't seal tight enough, and you will get a leak. I just cut the threads of the nozzles to With a locking pair of pliers, I turned the nozzles in tightly. I flushed the line with water after I finished drilling and taping to remove the shavings from the latter process, and I then sealed the end with a cap. The nozzles were aimed at the ground at an angle about 18 inches apart, 8 feet above the ground. While we were at Bible School, I did a great job of cooling preschoolers down in a parking lot.

Misting nozzles that work great! These misting nozzles are great! A few days ago, I installed a misting system for our patio
5/5

The spray covers a 16' x 16' area beautifully with 15 spray nozzles. It is absolutely loved by my friends and family as well as by my wife and me. Having a mist system that makes us comfortable in 90 degree heat is a big plus. We can now enjoy our patio again since we can enjoy it when it's hot outside. To gain more threads and gain more pressure, I used 1/2" pvc pipe and installed the nozzles in couplings. All of the misting nozzles work perfectly, and all of them install seamlessly. The only drawback is that now I have to help a number of people install mist systems on their patios.
