Questions & Answers

Is it able to heat how many feet of surface area?

Up to 200 square feet of area can be heated.

What is the ceiling height of an 8-foot patio with this model?

inches). As there should be a clearance of 40 inches (1 meter) around the top and sides of the cabinet.

Is there a cover for the heater? In case of rain, can the heater be left outside?

The cover is not present. There is a stainless steel element in it. If it rains, it won't be a problem.

The problem is! Hold knob in place for 10 seconds, turn knob to high, ignite, and then hold stuck knob for 10 seconds. I release pressure and it goes out the second the volume is turned down. Can you assist?

Push it in and move the knob slightly down. The knob will be in high when it's pushed in, but sometimes it seems it gets stuck in "ignite."

The product does not live up to the claims! Make sure you read the fine print! Despite what it says, the product is neither stainless steel nor glass
3/5

As the stainless steel thing was supposed to be extra expensive, I was willing to spend more money. Home Depot is the owner of Hampton Bay, I learned from some research. For less than $150, you can find this unit at Home Depot!.

It's a price gouge
3/5

A mixed review is present It works if you don't mind paying up for a limited supply item for this fall. The product itself is fine, but the price is high because this is a resell of a $150 HomeDepot product.

Wheels are not present! In the event we had realized it did not have wheels, we never would have bought it
3/5

These awkward heaters come with wheels so they can be moved around. As we ordered too quickly, we thought this would have wheels, but now we find ourselves stuck with it.

AMAZON IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BUY
3/5

It turned out one of the parts was defective, so I called the customer service number on the manual for I did not purchase the Hampton Bay system through Home Depot, so Hampton Bay said they could not help me. Sadly, I am very upset and frustrated by their blatant disregard of their warranty policy.

There is not one type of stainless steel
3/5

Other reviewers have pointed out that this is a Home Depot product and that third party sellers are offering it for much more. Magnets are attracted to many of the parts, which means those parts are either poor quality or make up an entire assembly. In my testing, the reflector, washers, and the four bolts that hold the head assembly together showed no magnetic attraction to a magnet. The durability of the product may thus be a problem. Upon trying to return for a refund, I was informed that I would have to pay a restocking fee of 50% and a shipping fee of $20. It seemed like a good idea, so I have made it work really well and it looks really good right now. My wife (5'2") is almost unable to reach the controls because it is very tall and it is almost too high for her. After receiving my concerns regarding shipping errors as well as the price and material of the product, the seller quickly responded, insinuating it must be made of stainless steel because Hampton Bay claims it is.

I’m in love with it
5/5

It is wonderful to have the heat from this appliance while I write this. The project was put together in the time they stipulated (60 minutes), so 15 minutes added to the time. A woman could have written the instructions and I could have put it together in 45 minutes.

I liked the product, but I thought the price was high This causes a freeze in the tank! The update is This is the third time in two weeks that my tank has frozen
3/5

I have changed the temperature and tried using a heating blanket, but it didn't My friends also have these things and they are not experiencing the problem I am having. As well as different tanks, I've tried other types. Do you know if the problem is with the lamp's regulator? That's too bad! The assembly was easy, and everything worked The def cost is $70. 00 Because of its high demand, the product is priced 100 higher than usual, but there is no way I can get them anywhere else, so I bit the bullet and bought. That decision has so far proven to be a good one.

What a wonderful discovery I would have made if I had Until I realized that there were no wheels, and you had to screw it into your patio or deck, I wasn't aware that it needed to be fixed
3/5

Had I realized this prior to buying it, I would never have bought it. My favorite part of summer is the heat!.
