As soon as I received the 3/8" (ID) tubing, I was surprised to find that it was too loose for the 3/8" barbed adapters to remain tight. The tubing only has to be pulled off with a little force (and not There is, however, not enough stretch for it to fit on a 1/2" barb. It is important to keep this in mind if you want to connect this hose with a barbed connector. Other than the fact that I couldn't find a barb that fit this hose at my local hardware store, this hose is very nice. It is sufficiently compliant to conform to outdoor surface morphology yet not too stiff to be damaged by kinking.
Hello, the wrapper for this corrugated tubing does not give any information regarding what kind of adapter it will require. My apologies. Until someone has a better idea, I would recommend a lookup at some of the following pump items that are used with this product. Perhaps you will find an adapter to match them P600UV, LL11002, LL11002UV and LL11003 are the kinds of chips with #DD11560. For your reference, item #C16015 is the item number.
My apologies for the long response time. The tubing can be used with a canister filter, as long as the filter is able to accept tubing with a 3/4" ID. I have been using it for six years There have been 8 months since I last wrote. rigid than thin tubing (like poly hardware store stuff), so it won't kink, but all around will also be smooth, so it won't have to turn sharp corners perfect, but a good value, and there aren't many options to choose from. A non-stick coating spirally wraps the outside of the tubing There is no wire reinforcement, so it is possible for tears to occur along the spiral if the hose is stressed in Because it is less flexible than common vinyl tubing, mounting it to fittings can be difficult, and there is a greater chance that it will leak, requiring the use of hose clamps in many instances. This tubing cannot be 'stretched' to fit over a larger fitting because it is so rigid and narrow. Despite the fact it was soaked in hot water to warm up the end. used a pair of large tin snips to cut it.
It was my belief that one of my ponds was actually leaking, so I was prepared to dig it As with any new hose, it should not leak. After disconnecting the pond I wanted to dig up, I removed all of the hoses and pumps. Water filled up from a rain storm and it turned out to be stable. The hose seemed to be leaking from pinholes all around, so I decided to check it further. I don't want to waste my time or money on it.
I ended up using it to extend the pipes for water runoff with my BakFlip 2 tonneau cover for my Nissan Titan, so it was definitely not what it was intended to be used for. Despite cutting the 3/4 inch tubing in half, the 3/4 inch item fit perfectly over the tubing that came with the tonneau cover. It worked perfectly. The hose was run down each side of the pickup bed, and out the back so nothing was left inside the pickup bed to ever get.
It is solid and flexible at the same time.
I like it a lot. According to its purpose, it worked.
I found this tubing to be perfect for this.
The tool fits most pond spitters, and I like the black finish that is not going to get dirty. I have not tested the tool yet, but the quality appears to be good.
