Questions & Answers

are the advantages and disadvantages of The model number has the letter C in it. What does that mean?

This is the case, according to me An anti-C is a person who opposes In the bottom of the unit there is a sweat sleeve or Styrofoam enclosure to prevent the unit from condensing water. A puddle will not form under the pump due to condensation. I find it very helpful. Pictured in the picture but not in reality. If you imagine a styrofoam rectangular bowl covering the black bottom in the photograph, that would be what it would look like.

Does the safety switch have a wire going to it? Due to the lack of this feature in my current pump, can I just let the wires hang?

Unlike ours, we don't have one attached. If the AC pump fails, the air conditioning will be turned off. It is better to have water in my basement than to do without cooling. It would have to be wired by an electrician or HVAC company if I was going to use the shut off switch because I do not know where to wire it.

It does not appear to have rubber feet. What is the purpose of including it? Does the tank have a flat bottom? If the bottom isn't flat, how do I level it on bracket?

The set does not come with rubber feet. ). Usually worn on the upper arm. You can place a pump there. The feet do not need to be rubberized. Buying the feet separately will cost you 2 dollars plus a ridiculous shipping fee.

Does this poem pump so loudly through my house that I can hear it all the way across the house?

If my cellar is quiet, I may slightly hear the pump when it is running. If it is noisy, I will hear it more loudly during the day. Almost all of the sound of the pump is covered by the noise of the central air conditioning. This pump makes a lot of noise, but it is only normal in my view.

Here is the Wolf disguised as a sheep
4/5

From what I've experienced so far, it is a beast. In just one minute, it fills up, runs, and then empties. I can only use it for 5 seconds before The silence lasts for that minute and a half in which I actually hear it, and then there is nothing but silence thereafter. To put it another way- I don't know The speed of this thing is so fast and it pumps so much water so quickly that you won't even remember it exists in your system only then will you have a problem. Maintain your vehicle! Don't forget to do it! However, I would not hesitate to buy it again since, as its name suggests, it has a lot of The following is a detailed description of my product This Little Giant 554542 VCMX- type is a non-IBM This is 20ULS The machine is rated at 84 GPH at 115V* Update I still have the same excitement as the day I got My next purchase will be this one if/when I need it! The following update has been posted on I've been going strong for 15 years now. When I burn moisture out in summer, this is what I use. It gets double duty and still works perfectly. The following updates were made on 7/20/2021. I'm still in love with this! My friend and I just purchased another one to use on a portable air conditioner. I also use the backup to ensure that my main system is protected.

Proven and tried
5/5

A BUILT TO LAST model! I worked in the swimming pool industry in the Boston area for 20 years a few years ago, and the company I worked for most of those years exclusively used Little Giant pumps. This is especially essential for pool cover pumps, as they collect rain, snow, and ice as they accumulate, and as they must periodically pump off the cover as the weather thaws. I have seen these pumps become fully frozen into solid ice, and they keep working despite the freezing. It seemed as if they would never stop for as long as they lived. Our summertime use included using these as sump pumps as well as for a variety of other purposes. They could handle any job as it was suited for their application at hand. I've had this particular model on my AC unit for about a year and a half now and it runs neat and quiet. I was pleased with how easy it was to install, how well it performed and how quiet it was. There were a few other models available at the local "Box Store" for about double the price It was a benefit of course that they were immediately available, but I had no problem waiting for the items to be delivered directly to my door via Prime. This is a no-brainer! Proven and tried. As far as I can tell, across their entire line of pumps, they are solid, reliable, and built to last! You should go for it. I'll be glad to hear from you.

This is a condensate pump for a dehumidifier
5/5

I received the product as advertised and it was delivered promptly. I expect it to pump the condensate up 9 feet, above the ceiling of an adjacent room, and then back down to a gravity floor drain as expected. In fact, I was a little surprised at how much water it left in the area around the drain because of the higher velocity of the water coming out of it. In order to correct this issue, I will empty the reservoir into a small container with a short gravity drain that will decrease I find it very helpful. have a water detector under the dehumidifier and near the floor drain, as well as a pan with a water detector under the dehumidifier and pump. A little extra precaution is better than no precaution.

I am using it to make ice! It's a very good product
5/5

I use it for the drain pump of my ice cream machine. In addition to the pump being under the main kitchen sink, the icemaker line drains almost straight into a straight hose that is at least six to seven feet long. A branch (dishwasher pipe) is connected to the main drain and the main drain is connected to the sub-drain. The float valve activates the pump which, once it is operative, sends the water directly upward to the main drain. It works great and there are no problems! There is an option to wire in an alarm in case it overflows or doesn't work.

A total of 59 days working followed by a complete suspension! It was very easy to install and quick to power on
3/5

I remember when it worked it was very noisy and then after the return policy ended a month ago, it decided not to work anymore. Since the same flow design has been used for 15 years, my treated water is cleaned as it moves through the system. There have been no blockages, zero sludge, and no sludge has been generated in a year. My little giant is the second one I've owned in two years my first one lasted almost one year and nine months this one lasted about three This will not be my next purchase, and I will try to find local retail support rather than face the threat of getting my money taken on Amazon, either with poorly engineered products or defective products sold at a discount that are in fact defective. The items are no longer available at Home Depot and Lowe's.

Two furnaces are used to pump out their condensate
5/5

One of these pumps was installed to drain condensate from both a high-speed and a high-pressure boiler Heating system with high efficiency and a high-performance cooling system Heating water with an efficiency rating of 80% or higher. A bucket load of condensate is produced by the water heater every week or so, and a bucket load by the heater furnace every day or so. It is very humid here and the air contains a high amount of water. In order to clear the garage, both inputs are gravity-fed, so the pump must be placed lower than the furnace outputs. The pump fills and sends a signal when it reaches a certain volume, and the wastewater is then pumped 2 feet up and 20 feet out. After the water falls into our drain, it is drawn into it by gravity. This has been working well for me for the last four months since I installed it. Whenever the pump is turned on there is a grinding noise. It is not very loud but it is noticeable. There have been no problems so far, seems efficient.

It's too loud! The installation process is very simple
3/5

I would have given a zero for the noise level if I could, but for the shipping service, it was very fast. There is an awful lot of noise, I can hear the water flowing up the tube. Despite being located in an insulated hallway closet, I can hear it cycle every time! In the same way, I replaced the last one as well. My quite is like no one else's. This is not it! I don't want to hear it at all. I don't want to hear it at all! It looks like I'll have to get a new one soon.

It replaced my previous little giant, which was running on our furnace for over 15 years
5/5

I looked at the models available and the new generation is quite a beast and does a great job handling drips from the furnace and air conditioner easily, with a decent amount of lift (about 7 feet and then pushing another 20 feet). The unit is silent, and only runs for a few seconds at a time.
