There is no way to remove algae with this brush because it is flimsy. It is difficult to get enough suction for leaves, even if they are dry. As I picked up the leaf material, I walked over it multiple times. For all the money spent, I am extremely disappointed. I will have to scrub and clean my carpet by hand.

An extension hose would have been helpful, but the drain hose was too short and it was too expensive. While it empties the vacuum, it pauses frequently as well. This was known to me before I ordered and is not a big deal. It took me only 20 minutes to clean the pond and vac cleanup was simple. My pond took a lot longer to fill than it did to clean.
