Questions & Answers

I would like to thank all of you for your assistance. Because this skimmer works so well, did you keep it running or did you just leave it on for a few hours to check how it is doing? Thanks a lot. ?

Whenever I run mine, it is always running. On average, I clean it once a week after it's been off for a few hours. I am 100% certain it would be best to clean twice a week, but that is the way it is. Cleaning takes maybe five minutes, and it is not difficult.

What if I want to use it in a classroom setting Can I build a pool on the ground? Since there are no trees surrounding me, but a few bugs, I would like to be able to skim the top every day without manually doing it. ?

It is perhaps intended for a area a bit smaller than an indoor venue Swimming pool in the ground. There are 10x12 feet of koi pond in my backyard. It works fine except when my koi swim up over one of the sides, trying to reach something trapped inside. It works best in calm water, so it could be run

There are two feet of water in my pond. How well would this skimmer perform in a shallow water garden such as this?

The answer is yes, I think. At its deepest point, my pond is 3 feet deep, but most of the time it's only 2 feet deep. There are 600 gallons of water in the tank. Although it works great, you will have to keep it clean.

This device does not appear to be connected to a cable in the Amazon photo. Does it use batteries?

There is 120 volts on this circuit. Apparently, it made more sense to not show the power cable in the

What I mean is, this thing really stinks. Naturally, I mean that in a good way. It's the flowers on the Crepe Myrtle trees this time of year that are the most annoying. Little Skimmers like this one are great at getting rid of pesky bugs. Using a magnetic pump, that was supposed to hang from the soil with straps pinned into the ground and work with a different skimmer. The setup I paid for was a complete disaster, and I am embarrassed to admit how much I spent on it. What a pain it was to finish skimmering and find that it floated up and went dry. Despite its size, it went together in about four minutes, and collected debris as soon as it entered the pond and was Cleaning it every day is a part of life, but I don't mind it. It may be odd, but when I see how much goop this catches I feel somewhat satisfied. My only change is that I added a new paragraph. A small pebble is included so that you can regulate the amount of weight applied to keep the skimmer afloat. It is easier to remove a bigger rock from the basket if I use one of the larger rocks. I clean out pretty much the same things every day and in the second picture you can see the video of movement.

Voici a tip You need to be careful when clicking pumps together since they only fit one way
5/5

Please join us! My research took me days, and I'm happy to report that this is one amazing pump. The power cord is super long and the pump is going to last me a very long time. Some people have complained about their pumps running out of fuel when the basket raises. Added to this is black river rocks, for when you need to weigh it down. In a hardware store you can find $1 baskets for growing aquatic plants which are the same size as the oem basket if you trim the top down a bit. As a result, I have a few extra baskets for quick changes when I do not have time to clean/wash out my baskets. Simply cut some batting into circles and place it in the basket, and you're done! As well as leaves, you have other mechanical filtration systems. A course filter pad is included with this, which I was happy to see. In case the rim above your basket pops up and inhibits water flow, just screw a few holes near the top of the rim and this problem is solved. I am very happy with my.

It's a great product, but there are a few inconveniences
4/5

Please join us! I have great news to share! I see a mess of pine needles floating through my 2000 gallon pond every day in the first picture. The second image shows what I pulled out after running the skimmer for 2 hours. It might not seem like much, but there is no floating waste in the aquarium anymore. My fish are delighted that they no longer need to spit out pine needles, and I am happy that I no longer need to skim the water four times daily before feeding Despite the floating obstruction, the koi seem not to be bothered by it, and they even come to my hands when it is pulled out to be cleaned. This is what I don't like In order to keep my plants from becoming clogged up with skimmer water, I will try to find a place where it won't be blocked by my plants. The plug has a lot of power, which is good, but it has pulled in some tiny baby water lettuce, so I will have to deal with them. As soon as you unplug it, you must grab it quickly, otherwise lighter weight debris will get thrown right back up and over the edges. That is my main concern My initial intent was to set it for a timer but I can't see how that can be done. Although I am a little unhappy with the inconvenience and limitations of the purchase, I am extremely satisfied with it. My hope is that it will hold up well, but so far so good after a week.

let me tell you some good news The filter does work, it was able to remove surface debris well. I have some not so good news for you. I agree, the directions aren't the best, but it was easy to figure out, although it was difficult to snap the pieces into place. I can't leave my in the bath unattended. You have to make sure it's submerged otherwise the pump will suck air from the air in the tub and cause a loud There are times when the pump will be working fine, but then for no apparent reason, the pump will start sucking air loudly. If your pond has a lot of vegetation that falls into it, it would be especially wise to use it on a limited basis.

The product, as advertised, was not what it appeared to be There is no flow when the flow is low! I put this skimmer in my pond and noticed it kept floating above the water line, so I checked the reviews from others and the reviews mentioned that rocks were included with the order (mine did not have any type of weight or indication it should be lowered using weights)

Now that I added a rock that is almost the size of my fist, it seems to set the proper depth, but this unit is supposed to pump 660 gallons per hour, and it might pump 6 This means 10 gallons per hour. In this unit, the water volume is not enough to suppress the debris from reaching the basket. Instead, the debris is simply circulated on top of the water until it is blown away by the wind. While I was hoping it would work, I'm seeing that it doesn't and have ordered a bigger skimmer with a separate pump, tuning, and an upgrade kit to clean the water in the pond.

I am very pleased with the purchase
5/5

The Tetra that I had been using for years for my 125 gallon pond wouldn't get into the float skimmer I bought after countless attempts to get it to work To make the pond skimmer When deciding between the two, skip the Tetra skimmer, it will save you an agonizing amount of time and frustration. There will be no need for additional tubing and pump since the Jebao Skimmer comes with its own. Skimmers are equipped with a built-in pump, so there is no extra tubing to install. I like the simplicity of this product and how well it works. I don't have any problems with it sucking in my fish. The fish can float all over the pond, but I set mine up stationary under the Japanese maple so it would catch fallen Although it would be nice if it came assembled, assembly isn't that difficult. Just forget about being impatient when snapping together the pieces.

There is too little suction and a bad outlet for water
3/5

Please join us! Though it has a good concept, we feel that this product is a cheap copy. Despite its poor suction power, the vacuum is very strong. It is possible that this lack of proper outlet is contributing to the poor performance of the pump. There is a lot of coarse mesh that lets pine needles pass An additional layer of filter foam has been added to prevent the pump from becoming I am not satisfied with the product.

I am distraught
3/5

It is one of those products that were designed in China and the specifications sent there so that they could be manufactured and no one took the time to put the skimmer together before Those willing to use a little glue and duct tape can get good results from the skimmer. In the directions, there are only the usual warnings and part lists, with no insight into where the parts come from.
