As it was in with all the big Shepherd's hooks, I didn't even think twice. This could possibly hold a very, very tiny hummingbird feeder if it was small enough. The moment a bird touches this pole, it's "game over" for a bird feeder as it's sure to tip to one side. This is right for a small shepherd's hook, but if you want something larger scroll down and check out.

My intent was to hang this decorative bird feeder, but it ended up being too short once the bottom portion is buried deep enough to prevent the post from bending or swaying. Probably it would have been a good idea to prepare for such a possibility. Until now, we have not had one. A total of 0 birds have tried As well as the bird seed, I bought. Keep an eye on it and let me know if anything changes. Getting the feeder higher would be best accomplished by getting an extension or attaching it to the top part of the fence. In addition to landing on the grass, birds also feed on it.
