Questions & Answers

There seems to be no deterrence to rats from the tension. am not sure if this can be changed. It is sad that the birds are suffering. It's been put away today, so I took it down. ?

So far, there hasn't been any rats trying to eat my The tension spring in my gun is loose after too many squirrel attempts. I've been using it for three years. As a result of the cardinal ring, the seed was weighed down and the birds could not access it. I received a new spring mechanism from the customer care center, and now it works great, complete with the ring.

What is the average frequency that I would need to refill this feeder based on the number of birds that frequent the area, and how much would the refill cost me?

Although this seems obvious, it depends on how many and what types of birds there are. Among the birds that I attract to my feeders in Houston are Cardinals, Mockingbirds, Jays, and Woodpeckers. The sky was full of hungry birds, as well as many sparrows and Carolina thrushes. Taking this crew into account, I need to refill the feeder about every 5 days. Brenham is another town in Texas with a lot of birds, but they are smaller, and I only have to refill my feeder every seven to ten days It can sometimes take eight or ten Of course, during the winter months, it needs to be replenished more often.

During the breeding season, male cardinals haven't taken advantage of It is as if they just eat off the ground below the feeder. Cardinals are known to use it to attract mates. Are you aware of the reason?

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. No matter how much you offer them the optional Cardonal ring, they For them to comfortably use the feeding ports, I think the ports are too small. Safflower seeds are the foolproof way to stop squirrels from eating your bird seed. Sunflower seeds have all the nutrients of sunflower seeds, and they are loved by all sorts of birds (including woodpeckers). Squirrels, however, will not eat them. Having spent hundreds of dollars over the years trying to find a squirrel proof feeder, I wish someone had told me about this sooner. An 80 lb. tub is available for purchase. The price of the bag is around $53 with free shipping on Amazon. A dollar would be about the same amount. The price per pound is $0.06. It is easy to solve your problem if you get an inexpensive feeder that cards will use.

would like to know how to adjust the spring for weight sensitive applications. The only thing I have found is to rotate the spring, but how do I know which direction to rotate?

As the spring is turned clockwise, it becomes stiffer You can also just push down the ring perch and feel the changes in the force needed to close the feeding ports if you don't want to use the force.

Each time a bird flies away, the feeder drops a handful of seed into the dirt
3/5

The feeder is in my mom's yard, and she uses it most of the time, so if my experience is just a fluke, then I am not sure why I am mentioning While the birds loved the feeder, I noticed that when I tried to adjust the tension so that the crows would be unable to access the food, there was no middle ground that allowed them to access the food and prevented the crows from getting it. It is the fact that the feeder is faulty, however, that is causing the birds to lose tons of seed every time they fly off of it. During the first few days, I didn't notice any change in the seed's disappearance it proceeded at a reasonable pace. It was 3/4 of the way gone by the end of the next week, which I thought was quite fast since only a few birds had noticed it so far. It took just a few days for the feeder to completely empty itself after being filled again. All the seed seemed to be all over my lawn directly underneath the feeder, mixed in with the mud and mulch. I couldn't figure out what was happening until I noticed that all the seed seemed to be all over my lawn directly underneath the feeder. The pilot manual was double-checked to make sure all instructions were followed, but I was unable to find any evidence of an error in his flying. The birds flew away every time I tried again with the rest of the bird seed I had, and I noticed every time they did so, a handful of seed would fall out. It was fine with me that the birds ate seed from the grass, but I did not pay $90 for the birds to eat seeds from the lawn. When I figured out the defect, it was too late to return the item, so I now owe nearly 100 dollars and still don't have a As you can imagine, I am really.

It is the best bird feeder I have ever owned, and the company that made it stands behind their product in such a way that I have purchased three so far
5/5

Using my own feeder that I bought in 2012, I can honestly claim that this is the first time I have ever seen squirrels not being able to use it. Having watched them try, I have had several really good laughs. I bought the second one and gave it She has several feeders that she calls bird feeders, but are actually Having a feeder just for them made the birds very happy and they enjoyed it for The squirrels were not pleased with the new feeder, and finding that there was no way to get at the seed, gnawed out the hook from a crossbeam and dropped the item several The reason we know it was squirrels is because she keeps everything she feeds inside during the night so raccoons can't get to it. I replaced the broken feeder when I visited the following year by installing a very heavy duty hook with a gnaw guard that was 4 years ago and the birds are still very happy. . . the squirrels, not so much, but they are used to the other feeders now. As a result, the bent feeder has been sitting in my garage for a long time now, but I recently contacted Brome to inquire about purchasing the parts that would enable me to fix it as I am refilling my existing one about every five days. A feeder like this size usually takes longer than 6 days for me to get used to it, but I also have another hook I can It took me less than 24 hours to receive an answer to my email, the needed parts are being shipped the next day for no additional charge, and videos were even provided for how to install the I am stunned! Very good customer service from Brome. Their products are the best! I have attached a picture of the damaged feeder so you can see the amount of parts needed to make it fully functional. I will post another picture when it is back together and assembled.

The trip exceeded my expectations and was everything I had hoped for
5/5

Since I bought my Squirrel Buster Plus a month ago, I've seen a lot of squirrels. The birdfeeder hangs outside my desk window, where I can observe the birds and butterflies all day long. Having to upgrade from a suction cup hanger to a durable model mounted on the wall, I attributed the problem to the large size and weight of the product. When it came to eating the old feeder, the squirrels found it to be big sport to tear it off the window and scatter the spoils around. In my opinion, they ruined a couple of feeders and made everything not as fun as it could have been. It's now my turn to get I enjoy watching the little buggers give up when they become frustrated. Even a raccoon tried it for the first time that night, but it It was a concern because some of the reviews indicated large birds, like Blue Jays, couldn't land on the Cardinal ring, but I haven't encountered that issue with my feeder (see picture). The pilots took a few days to master the landing technique, but now they return every day. My hair lasts longer if I use a high quality mix. Often, I can see at least eight finches feeding together, along with Cardinals, Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, Downy and Yellow Bellied Woodpeckers, Red Winged Blackbirds, Brown Thrashers, Carolina Wrens and other birds. Even though I could eliminate the larger birds, I still enjoy them just as much as the smaller birds. Also, I've noticed that Chickadees don't seem to be interested in Well, so you don't think I'm a grumpy old man, I put a special feeder with black oil sunflower seeds in the tree so the squirrels will eat them. that peace and harmony have been restored, the world is at peace. Squirrel Buster Plus has been a big help to me!.

I am disgusted with squirrels! Several of my squirrels tried to get into the house
5/5

Despite their best efforts, they only got a merry-go-round The cardinal ring is a round trip. It's almost like I feel sorry for them since they've given up in dispirited disgust in only a few days. These greedy pigs brought it upon themselves because they are such greedy pigs. Meanwhile, the birds seem to be having a good time. Currently, squirrels get all their food from the ground litter that birds leave behind. My Squirrel Einstein has finally beaten it for the first time. I've had this thing for almost a year, and today I was able to beat it for the first time. I have to admit that this big guy is clever as hell, hanging upside down, but defeating the weight-sensitive ring by threading his tail into one of the holes that closes the door. He doesn't show any pain as a result of that. Hence, I wonder how long it will take him to teach his children the trick.
