The hummingbird is the first bird to drink from it in less than an hour after I put it up. This is such a lovely hummingbird feeder and is such a nice change from the regular plastic feeders. The piece is wonderful, especially in the light, well constructed, and is Having said that, the perches had to be removed (easily accomplished with a pair of pliers) as hummingbirds don't perch and budge down to feed, but hover instead.

My mother is a hummingbird lover, so I bought her this for her. A beautiful hummingbird feeder made of hand blown glass that is amazingly easy to assemble. Rather than a trail of ants picking off nectar from the feeder, the ant moat keeps them from doing so. What has been most incredible is how many hummingbirds now visit our backyard. It is the second time we have bought one of these. I received my first order a couple of days after I placed the order and the glass cracked. It has been about 6 months since we had our second and we noticed the same thing Several cracks can be seen Hand washing the parts in dishwater is the only way we clean them. The hand washing we do for our products made of glass does not leave cracks, so we are not sure why.
