I have tried many file sharpeners before, but this one works best for me
5/5

This arrived in the mail yesterday and I immediately took it out to try it on my Husqvarna Rancher 455 right away. The chain I had last used had not been oiled or sharpened, so it was in need of some TLC. After a few minutes I had it working smoothly and with very few hiccups. The only issue I had was when the guard bumped the chain, it kept unlatching the round file, so I would In order to get my chain sharper, I had to train myself to stop just short of the end of the file each time. With a little practice, I was able to sharpen it better than I have ever managed free hand. As a bonus, my depth gauges have already been adjusted so that they accurately measure depth. There are some differences between this unit and the Pferd CS-58 in the way they are switched from right to left To switch between flat and round files, you need to unlock both handle tops and bottoms and move the round and flat files to the opposite side before locking the handles again. When used with the CS-150 Pferd When you get to the end of the file, you turn it over and proceed from there. Besides that, you also pay double the price for the horse. While the move of the files will pose a small inconvenience, I am happy to save As well as this one in the smaller size, I plan to order one to use with my small chain saws.

The investment is well worth it
4/5

The Husqvarna Sharpener 455 Rancher sharpener I bought goes well with my new Husqvarna tractor. This morning, I used it for the first time. I had to sharpen the blade three times as I cut up a 7 ft tree trunk full of nails that was 30" in diameter. I looked for an instructional video on YouTube that explained it's operation since there were no instructions. There are left and right markers on the frame, since you have to remove the files and reverse them, depending on the set of teeth that needs attention. I had a little trouble opening and closing it due to some arthritis in my hand and because of my weak thumb It shouldn't be a problem for fingers with normal function. In addition to locking the files into place, sharpening the chain was a straightforward process. By sharpening the round file, and reducing the flat file, you can maintain a correct level of the depth gauge or raker of the cutting edge. It took from 10 to 20 passes to resharpen a tooth after cutting through at least three nails, so the chain was pretty chewed up.
A flat bar is placed on top of the next raker to maintain the correct angle of the flat file. Despite the price I paid, I am satisfied with this sharpener.
I think it's worth the money.

BRINGS A DIAMETER GUIDE HIGHIGHT TO THE DEPTH GUIDE A SCHNEE IS MADE AT THE SAME TIME AS A CUTTER SCHNEE
5/5

I LOVE IT, except that there is no angle line for a variety of tooth cutter angles. The following documents were filed by me Two of the ones I use are The Husqvarna chainsaw chain is 25 degrees and the STIHL chainsaw chain is 30 degrees The outside bars of the tool are where it should go! It is the only manner in which it is possible to ensure consistent, accurate filing. Don't hesitate to test it out. Clamp a page of guide steel to it at the correct angle (after removing the files, of course). ** DO IT AT BOTH ENDS, FOR LEFT AND RIGHT CUTTER ENDS DUE TO THIS, FILING WILL BE WORKING more accurately and faster! It is OBVIOUSLY REQUIRED that you USE BINARY ROUND FILE FOR EACH CHAIN IN THE RIGHT DIMENSION (AND LENGTH).

However, the replacement flat works quite well, but it's not included with the item
4/5

I am very happy with this item, but I hope you can find the replacement flat file, when you find it! Buying a new one is beyond the reach of most. The shipping cost is 21 dollars (7 dollars for the item).

This is an item for splurging
4/5

Unlike other programs, this one files the cutter and raker in one step to save time (raking often falls by the wayside, because it requires Even though the files don't seem to be available from anyone other than Husgy, it's still a bit costly. There is another file I have for a different type of saw that costs about a quarter of this. It does a great job (but I have to file the raker separately).

Anyone who owns a chainsaw needs to buy this
5/5

the best handheld sharpener I have ever used - I highly recommend it Alternatively, you can use oils and waxes to get a chain that looks and feels like new in a fraction of the time. Despite this, it is best to watch the videos online before using as it removes a lot of content.

A great tool for sharpening the field
5/5

It's a great sharpener for using when you're out in the woods away from your bench sharpeners. It should be used after every refuelling.

I really like this! For several years now, I have used this type of sharpener
5/5

Their function is excellent, sharpening the tooth and keeping the raker at the correct height at the same time. Presented as a gift to a friend, this one came in a box.
