I really appreciate your A big box store will sell the same size of round files, but there are a variety of round files to choose from. The big box files may be cheaper, but they will not be as sharp, it will take you longer to sharpen your chain, and you won't be able to use them as long as small box files. To select the files that come in the kit, we tested over 25 different types of files and brand names. In contrast to many of the other files we tested, our files were sharp, would easily slide across each tooth, and would always provide a nice sharp edge. Many of the other files we tested would simply scrape across the tooth and only remove very small amounts of As a result, you will have to sharpen your teeth with many, many strokes. In order to avoid this frustration, we did all we could to prevent it from happening. In order to ensure that our customers get sharp files, that do a good job, at a reasonable price, we tested a lot upfront.
Yes, I agree! All the different types of chains are available in three different files.
A Chinese nation. Bangor, Maine, is the location where the company is located. That might be an easy place to get input from people who have
Including a chain size on the chain would have been a good idea. Find a file that has the same number of strokes per tooth on all sides of the tooth if it does not already exist.

The product I have been using is a 5 star product if you don't mind unnecessary emails. ) It works great, I like the files a lot better than the store bought ones. In general, it appears to get sharper and only takes two to three passes to reach that point (or half as many).
It's very cost effective. In addition to chainsaw files, I don't have experience with related tools, but I can say these files do its job The chainsaw my dad had dulled to the point where it would not cut at all, but with this kit I was able to get it back to work properly. With the file guide, those who are not familiar with sharpening (most don't) can do it fairly quickly. It's well worth it to do it yourself because it's kind of expensive to have someone else do it, and you have to take the chain off as well. A neat design is present in the carrying case, too. Further, I seem to recall the seller sending only a couple of emails to make sure everything went well, I think three in total, and I may have included one he sent in response Apparently someone complained that he received way too many emails. I don't think that will be a problem anymore, I don't think that has been a problem in the past.
These files have a decent quality. They are somewhat softer than others so they wear out faster, but in general, a good set of files. With the kit, you get a nice carrying pouch that keeps the tools organized and has a little extra space for some extras like pliers. Files, flat blade scrench, torx scrench, and flat blade knurling on the extra flat blade. It is much more comfortable to use a wooden file handle than a plastic one. It is hard to find a better kit at this price.
This kit is the first time I have used a file sharpener to sharpen a chain. I was provided with information about this small company's product in a timely manner by this company. In regards to some questions I sent back, I was surprised by the detail and personal emails they sent. In the emails, we were able to see that this company cares about its customers and stands behind its While the kit itself is conveniently sized and fairly easy to use, setting it up for the first time is the most difficult part. It keeps my chain sharp and keeps me from having to buy sharpening tools in the future.
In general, if a dremel tool is available and you know the diameter file you need, then this kit would be an excellent choice for you. This set was extremely difficult for me to use with my S56 low profile chain. In the last five weeks, I have sharpened with dremel tools about five times, and really needed the product. It is wen). Although, for some reason, the depth teeth never stuck out enough to grind, and I don't see any reason for the spacing and the angled slots. If you must buy the Oregon kit (I think it was out of stock when I purchased)
Always get the correct diameter chain saw grinder (5/32" for me) for your chain. You can either buy Oregon grinders set of three or Dremel grinders set of two. In the work bench space you wish to sharpen, mark a centerline for the bar, and mark 30 degree angles for each tooth direction (This will create Put a glove on the hand that will advance the chain in order to make it more visible, for example.
Adhere 3m masking tape along each 30 degree line. Make a mark with a sharpie on the first tooth you want to sharpen (first tooth to sharpen so you know when you are done)* With the dremel running at a moderate speed, just move back and forth gently 5 or 6 times. You should brush your teeth several times. Go back to the other side of the chain once you have made the first side. Takes about 5 minutes, and a grinder may last 1 minute before it needs to be cleaned It took me three times to sharpen my chains. When I sharpen in this manner, the chain stops making dust and cuts nice small chips.
It was just today that I used it. Before I tried sharpening a chain, I didn't have any experience, but the instructions were very helpful. All that is included in this kit makes it a great value. In my opinion, it went very well for the first time because my pole saw cuts better than ever. It is a kit that I recommend to everyone. You can also carry it in its own carrying case, which is connected by Velcro!.
It is a quality kit with excellent tools for the price. Using it three times already has already cost me three times as much as buying it My chains are not sharpened so I do not have to take them to be sharpened. As a result, little wear has been done to this garment. It will take me a month to cut enough wood to heat an average home through the winter in the Northwestern United States.
A perfect kit was delivered to the client. My working days were as a logger in northern Vermont when I was a child. I've used this kit successfully and have gotten good use out of it! you are paid by the number of board feet you cut, and you buck a tree and run into a piece of gravel, you quickly learn that time is money. You can quickly recover the ability to use your saw with a kit such as this.
