Questions & Answers

Is there a place where I can get a new stone?

You get one with the chain, as far as I know. The owner's manual recommends replacing the stone at the same time as the blade.

Is this chain compatible with a battery-operated chainsaw that is 18 inches long?

Chains are precise for each chain; many appear to be the same but are not; go to the website to find the right chain match; don't guess- It's possible that it'll put you in danger.

Is the bar and chain oil that came with my 18-inch electric saw designed specifically for use with sharpening stones? Is it okay if I use any kind of bar and chain oil?

Thank you for getting in touch with Oregon Tool, William. In both corded and cordless electric chainsaws, any bar and chain oil will work. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to call one of our friendly Oregon Technical Services Experts at 1-877-Oregon-TECH (1-877-Oregon-TECH). 800- 223- Option 1 at 5168.

A new 'rubber washer' for the blade tensioner is required. I'd like to get one, but I'm not sure where I'd find ?

The Oregon website's parts/customer service department is your best bet; they can order parts for you directly or have them in stock.

Doesn't shave off too much
3/5

For cutting down a bush, I purchased this electric chainsaw and blades. This is an awful product. I was unable to cut any of the branches from my Lilac bush. My harbor freight 6 inch pole saw, along with my 40-year-old circular and 40-year-old blade, can cut the bushes branches like butter. I strongly advise you to abandon this Oregon product and blades, as they will not serve you well.

Wooden cords (two cords)- Cut! Red oak, maple, and a few poplar trees were cut down, and the blade was sharpened every 15 minutes or so
5/5

My stack of wood has about 100 cords to go thanks to the pipeline loggers. This is a great way to get some exercise while being outside in the fresh air, and my Oregon saw is fantastic. It's something you should always have with you when you leave the house. The delivery was quicker than expected, and the product was ready to use right away.

I never received what I had requested
3/5

The products sold in Oregon are excellent. We have two chainsaws with a chain length of 18". Every time I try to order a new chain, I get a 6" chain instead. I can get a refund on my 18" chain, but not on my other purchases.

Metal should be avoided! While this is a very sharp, high-quality chain, on my third cut, I accidentally hit the edge of a piece of metal, breaking all of the right side teeth
5/5

I would have missed it if I had been more than 1/4" tall.

The chain of backups This item was purchased as a backup to the Oregan chainsaw
5/5

For any chainsaw, it's always a good idea to have a spare chain.

It is overpriced
3/5

For less than the price of this, I ordered a couple of 18-inch chains.

I don't think I'd be able to install it
3/5

This is the first time a chainsaw chain has been unable to straighten itself out.
