How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

The Redneck Convent 2 Pack Single Taper Plastic Wedges for Tree Cutting provides a stable and effective way to help guide the tree to its final destination Each 20-inch (8. - 3 cm) felling wedge for tree cutting features 9 angled spikes These angular points are used to lift the tree side and guide the tree to fall in the opposite direction.
When felling large trees, log splitting wedges are used to guide the fall direction by lifting the bottom of the tree towards the opposite direction. This keeps you and your team safe and gives you greater control over your job. The spikes also create more force to prevent backfall.
This tree wedge creates a mechanical lifting force that pushes the tree's center of gravity upward and away from you in the direction you intended while felling the tree. Felling a tree is a dangerous task if you are unequipped and untrained to do so.
You'll find this 2 pack of chainsaw wedges for 8-inch chainsaws here at Chainsaw Safety Gear Always wear safety glasses and personal protective equipment when felling Wedges are not designed for splitting firewood Please wear safety glasses when using the chainsaws

Good value for work around the house, but not for heavy use
4/5

Having gone into this knowing that I wouldn't be doing a lot of heavy lifting with these, I figured they would be 'a smidge better' since the set is in the mid price range. GrassWraps are doing an amazing job of tying my fallen trees back up after falling. I used these for a single large tree (18" diameter or so) and then a few tangled fallen trees, and I couldn't be happier. It was not a big deal to hammer them in, just regular small malls. As a result, while I would say that these are probably 'ok' for what I need them for, please keep in mind that I do not think they'd be good for 'weekly'.

You can now use these wedges for a new purpose! In addition to cutting down trees and splitting logs, I bought these wedges for a different purpose
5/5

The purpose of these wedges was to be used as speaker wedges for my large Sansui speakers. I used to have to sit across the room from them to hear the sound well before I started using them. I hear the sound from anywhere now that I don't have to increase the volume as I did before using these wedges. Since the wedges angle the speakers upward, I see the sound from anywhere. It's working as it should!.

Is effective at what it is intended to be
5/5

You can rely on it. Why don't I start by asking how I can help you? When you slip and boo boo a little (like I did), this tool will help save your chainsaw. While it damaged the wedge slightly, it did not chew through it enough to prevent them from being This replaced the chain with a shorter one Putting a metal wedge through the hole). You don't need one all the time, but it can be useful. It is so authentic to call it Redneck Convent! That's a wrap!.

A series of spikes holds the rip open
5/5

The oak tree I'm milling is 24" wide and 8' long, and the slabs are produced by my Stihl chainsaw with the rip chain. When the wedge is centered in the cut, the spikes of these felling wedges do a fantastic job of cutting the wood. Likewise, I have some Stihl wedges of the same size that I use, but they vibrate out of the cut and fall to the ground as the chainsaw does its job. This kind of spiked felling wedge is what you need.

A safe felling of an oak took place
5/5

A sad face was seen on the oak tree as it was cut A little too close to the house and too big. The wedges proved to be the perfect tools to use when trimming overhead branches at the end of a long day. Through these wedges, we were able to fell the Oak into a smaller area in which no damage was caused. In this instance, I nipped one of the wedges. This did not affect the chain, so the job could be completed. The product was great, the price was excellent, and the delivery time was ideal.

This is the perfect size! The quality of the product is great! I developed no problems with the wedges when using them on the trees I was pruning
5/5

Every piece of material I cut was in the 8-inch range The wedges lifted the tree about 15 inches at the 15" range they were designed for. I was able to impact the material with a 4lb weight without it breaking. You can use the hammer without any problem. As a result, there was little distortion of the wedge heel. am confident they will continue working for many more years to come.

You've got timber! was unfamiliar with felling trees so I researched the process on the internet
5/5

I eventually decided to purchase these wedges both for cutting down to size and felling the tree itself. We couldn't be happier with the price and effectiveness of the product. I was slightly concerned due to the plastic feel however, it held up well under mild blows from a Unless you are fully qualified to cut down trees, I do not recommend you attempt to do so without first knowing what you are doing. My face cut coincided with the natural slope of a small diameter pine tree I had cut down, and I had ensured that it would go where I intended by checking the lean and making my cut in the direction of the natural slope. I positioned the wedges after I cut my notch and went to the other side and cut an inch under the first cut. Once my saw was deep enough to place the wedges, I cut another inch. Having a helper makes the process more efficient so you're not going back and forth. In the midst of cutting, I heard the first pop and the tree came down slowly but surely exactly where I anticipated. I think this is a pretty good first try! As well as these for cutting the trunk down to size, I also used the rubber edges when cutting the trunk down. Remember, these are only here to prevent your saw blade from getting pinched and jammed. This is not a splitting wedge.
