WEDGES WITH SPIKED EDGES The Redneck Convent 5 Tree Cutting Wedges are designed for stabilizing and guiding a tree that is being cut. Each 5 Inch Single Taper Plastic Wedge is designed to stabilize and guide a tree while it is being cut. The total measurement is 13.95 cm (5. inches) felling wedge for tree cutting includes 12 angled spikes These angular points, or felling "dogs," lift the tree side to ensure it falls precisely opposite of which it was raised.

When felling large trees, log splitting wedges are used to guide the fall direction by lifting the bottom of the tree towards the opposite direction. This keeps you and your team safe and gives you greater control over your job. The spikes also create more force to prevent backfall.

This tree wedge creates a mechanical lifting force that pushes the tree's center of gravity upward and away from you in the direction you intended while felling the tree. Felling a tree is a dangerous task if you are unequipped and untrained to do so.

Included are (2) chainsaw wedges, each of which holds five inches of chain. Use only safety glasses and other personal protective equipment when felling use wedges instead of firewood to split wedges cannot be used to split firewood

Can you tell me the dimensions of this item? Can you tell me the length, the width, and the ?

The length is 1/2" x the width is 2" A wedge-shaped piece 5/8" wide from widest point to narrowest point (tapers down to a 1" diameter). It has a head diameter of 5/8". There is 1" of thickness in the head. I tried to include a picture, but it wouldn't work.

As well as being made of play dough, these wedges are like that. After a few hours, while they did help in getting trees down, the tips were completely mangled and not even usable. I can deal with the back side getting bruised, but when the tips get curled up, you can barely fit them into the chainsaw kerf. Despite the fact that they were inexpensive, I would not recommend them.

It's a good product for occasional use, professionals will need a more durable bind

It arrived on time and in a very secure package. It will suit my needs, I'll plant a couple of trees every year, but if the tree is planted every day, perhaps I should find something more durable. This product is very good to own and I would purchase it again if necessary. It has to be the most annoying thing ever to have stuck a chainsaw in a tree, which I'm sure you have, so get this product, add the chainsaw case, and save yourself any.

It looks and feels very good quality. I haven't used it yet, but I feel like it's going to be good. I really only need this for cutting logs so it doesn't pinch the blade.

Easy to use

Despite my preference for plastic wedges, I love them. It's easy to put one in, easy to take one out, and the blade won't get damaged if you hit it with a chainsaw.
