Questions & Answers
After installing the iGrill 3, I found the probes to work well. The app does not appear to allow me to check LP levels. The tanks did need to be replaced and I was notified but didn't know how. When I changed the tank, I already had it emptied. Calibrating the device is there a It would also be helpful to see if the tank is 75% full That sounds feasible, but how?
Currently, there is no option for saving temperature data, however, you can export your graph to a CSV. Just head to Chart View and select the icon at the top, right-click and select Export to CSV. On the app, you can find this icon in the left-hand corner. By entering your email address, you will receive your temperature data in a CSV file. Thank you!
Thanks for visiting! It is hard to differentiate the iGrill 2 from the iGrill 3 apart from the fact that the iGrill 2 can be used as a standalone accessory, whereas the iGrill 3 will only work with the Genesis II or The iGrill 2 should be your first choice if you do not already own the Genesis II/LX grill. Thanks a lot!
A $800 grill would be IGrill ready if it had the Bluetooth sensor with probes, so that meant for $99 you would have to buy a Bluetooth sensor with probes, and the grill would need to say IGrill ready.

It was my wife who wanted this accessory and I apathetically ignored her request. This was a gimmick in my opinion. There was a mistake in my thinking. A nice feature is being able to throw a piece of meat on the grill, go do other things (like grabbing a beer, talking to guests) and still be able to see the meat's temperature on your phone. As a result, my ego was also wounded. Honestly, I didn't "need" the device since I knew I could grill pretty well without it. In spite of this, I will say it has consistently resulted in better meat coming off the grill than when I had not used Generally, I am conservative when it comes to cooking meats like chicken and pork and leave them on too long so they are cooked through, but the result is drier than I would like. However, with the iGrill, I am able to monitor their progress from inside the house, so they are taken off the grill just in time. This is especially useful when grilling in cold weather. If I were to buy this product again, I would definitely do so.
It is the perfect gift for someone you can't stand. I am a living example of a four-letter word when it comes to pairing this little piece of plastic. It is rare for it to be the same every time. The last time I paired it it worked perfectly, I set everything up for my chicken breast, skinless, boneless, etc @ 165 deg F only to have it come back the next day A pair was formed and a pair was not formed. It was the first time I met your family. There is an 8-foot distance between them. I have wonderful thoughts for the designers behind this plastic blob when it works, I have evil thoughts when it doesn't. The Weber system is not ready for Bluetooth, perhaps they should revert to using cans and strings for communication, that would work better This is not a good idea. It's time for Weber to go back to the drawing board, hire Bluetooth experts, or just stop putting out this CRAP! A star is not necessary. A grill with the letter NO is called an nGrill 3.
Note that this is not a review of the product, and it will not detect a temperature difference, as previous iGrill models did. Models like this are designed specifically to be used with Webber grills. There are a lot of things the pictures overlook, such as a large battery back, wires, and how far back the device sticks out from the body. As with my current iGrill Mini, I will be using this item on all my cooking devices. I intend to move it around from place to place (as I do with I realized that with this box, it wouldn't be possible to get it working. There are wires and attachments to connect, and all the images I found online show a flat disc like the previous model. (See picture) I can't lay the device flat because its connections stick out in the back and there are wires that need to attach.
With this thermometer, I will be grilling on a Spirit II. Installing the app was easy and connecting it to my Galaxy S7 grill was no problem as long as the app was within proximity of My connection drops as soon as I enter the building. There is no screen on the unit, so I have to reconnect the app and go outside if I want to check the temperature. This product does not perform as claimed at the moment. It is an excellent concept, but the execution just doesn't work. It is time for Weber to take a step back and improve the product. Although Weber support supported me through multiple steps of troubleshooting, I tried multiple phones, and even received a replacement thermometer, I've still been experiencing the same problem with poor bluetooth range. Despite the fact that you are on the patio, next to the grill, it still works good. When you are more than 20 feet away from the computer, the connection drops. Get a better thermometer with your money instead of spending it on a cheaper one.
iGrill products have been a favorite of mine for years, but I am definitely impressed with Weber's new An instant-read thermometer has been replaced by a zero software update that has turned BBQ smoker's must-have into something barely better than it was before. We have removed Audible temperature alerts and the ability to monitor your Smoker's temperature range, as well as memorized temperature presets. As long as Weber does not address this, I would avoid the entire iGrill product line.
The program works when it is supposed to. I knew this was a first-generation bluetooth thermometer, so I didn't expect it to be perfect, but I was wrong. There are regular problems with the app interacting with your phone or it may not be able to You can usually resolve this by turning it on again after turning it off, or eliminating the probe and plugging it back in. However, the perks are amazing when it works. During the last two grilling sessions, I only had to open the lid once to flip the burgers, and both times they came out perfect. I'm looking forward to using it again. Obviously I wouldn't blame you if you wait until the 2nd generation of this product comes out, but if you're an avid griller, I think this will up your game.
In early December I purchased the iGrill 3 to go with my My family and I were excited to use it over Memorial Day weekend because it was easy to install. As soon as I downloaded the app and paired it with my phone, the app was unable to recognize either of the two probes that came with the product. I received the error message, "Probes not connected. ". It was the same issue after I rechecked everything multiple times, reinstalled the iPhone app (I was using a 6S), and nothing worked. In addition, the bluetooth connection between the device and phone was spotty at best. It kept losing the connection when I walked more than a few yards away from the device. The support ticket was created, but no response was received after 24 hours. Application was uninstalled and reinstalled.
I am still waiting for the verdict on this matter. It has been used twice. The first time was to cook two tri tips with the probe temperature. The other is a medium rare. The first time I used the app and sat and listened, they were perfect. As soon as I used the second app, one of the probes shot through the roof. After pulling it out and re-inserting it, the same result ensued. So, I concluded that it was Furthermore, it is of limited utility to connect to the Internet through Bluetooth. This grill does not allow you to move around. If there was a way to bridge this thing to wifi, we'd be in business.
