Kamado Joe Jr
5/5

would be delighted with this. It took us forever to search for a quality nest to put our Kamado Joe Jr. So we decided to go for the small rolling cart option instead. I got my results! It definitely holds our little grill up off the ground when it fits snug in the small size. It was a little tricky to assemble- It took two of us to make sure all the screws were tight, but it was not an elaborate task. I am pleased with the purchase and am looking forward to the next grill I buy Check out the new release!.

Kamado Joe Junior is compatible with Kamado Joe cart size small
5/5

This cart is sturdy and well-built, with wheel bearings that roll smoothly. We received an extra piece of each of the 3 pieces of hardware required now (13mm bolt, 13mm nut, 18mm caster nut) from the manufacturer. As well as two stamped out wrenches, the manufacturer provides a pair of stamped-out hex keys that are good for minor tightening but not enough to fully secure the bolt. As I only had a 13mm wrench and socket in my kit, I had to use a crescent wrench to unbolt the four larger 18mm caster bolts, but that didn't matter. My advice might be to hand tighten all parts to snug, but wait until the entire assembly is complete before cinching it down. If you are using two pair of cross braces, make sure they are oriented so that the flat bar (with the square carriage slot in it) is always on top, each time the bevel is laying across the u-joint. The bar is in a rectangular shape.

Once everything is assembled, you notice there is some play in the cart and you need to tighten it up fully for optimum performance. When you cinch the parts down, it is helpful to have someone hold the parts in place as you do so. Our experiment had us turning the cart upside down and finding it worked best to tighten from the bottom up. Casters first, you will notice that as the nuts tighten, the bearing races on the casters will start spinning. We used a pair of water pump (channel lock) pliers to grab the caster as the nut was tightened, since we couldn't get a tool into the caster to grab the nut. When the casters are secured, flip the cart and then pay attention to the braces. Make sure they are perpendicular as you tighten those two nuts. Finish off with the Removing all of the internal ceramic parts from inside the Kamado makes it lighter to move when it is time to move. I used force to press the Kamado into the cart, but the Kamado is extremely secure once that is in place since it fits snugly. Bottom line If you want a close fit, pay attention to the location of the lower vent door and the arms of the cart. There are two photos in this post. In one it is shown next to a metal stand where the Joe Jr. is mounted. Come on, let's go. A Kamado's base is approximately five inches off the ground when installed on the stand. In addition, with the Kamado cart the base of the grill now sits 18 inches off the ground. This puts the grill surface at 28 inches off the ground and is easily accessed Now that it is on casters, it is easy to move. It is recommended that you pull it by the handle instead of There are a couple joints with brick inserts on my patio and the casters glide over the joints smoothly and without difficulty. As a result, Kamado Joe Jr. is now a triple edison. For cooking up to 6 people, it turns into a very nice barbecue. Among the dishes I've done are chicken, tri tip, steaks, pork cheek, and ribs large enough for six people. My preference is for the small grill because I do not need a 200 pound bbq (like the classic) when I mainly cook for small groups. Furthermore, I can move it around my patio and then put it under protection from the rain when not in use.

The steel and hardware are not of good quality, and the directions are inaccurate
3/5

It is painted, not powder coated, and is made of cheap steel. See the pitted metal hidden under a thin layer of paint with what appears to be stickers. There were also errors in the instructions and the parts on the bag did not match the ones on the instructions. Be sure to check out the low quality of the hardware as well On one of the screws, the head of one bolt wasn't round at all, it was totally off center. Easily made offshore at a low cost. Given how easily the paint could be scratched off, I'll be stunned if it survives more than a few seasons before rusting to pieces.

The product is solid
5/5

If you were expecting an imitation, look elsewhere Don't look back, then move forward. There is nothing more durable, well built, and sturdy about this green egg stand. The wheels are large and not like those on some knockoff. It is be's. There is no laughing matter when it comes to wheel locks. I actually have nothing to compare it to on my green egg stand. Thanks to this one, I was able to save the equivalent of half of the real deal. This stand is exactly what you need if you need a stand. This is one movie you won't want to miss!.

I'm glad this worked! I have updated
3/5

BGE XL purchased. A few screws were needed to assemble this. It has a couple of scratches on its It should be noted that the product is painted black over a powder coated base. My plan is to touch up the paint with a high heat paint. I also plan to purchase easy-rolling casters. We need to keep that in mind. Caster wheels on which the brakes are located are easily locked and unlocked. A great deal of weight is involved with the XL BGE. If you simply grab the cart and yank it, there is just a little give in It is possible that I may add a horizontal metal brace about half way up at some point just to strengthen the cart and to make me feel a little more secure in the cart. It is not necessary, but it would make me feel safer. The piece looks good, it fits, and it doesn't look odd. My favorite time of year to grill is all year round. My hope is that this service will be useful for years to come. My old wooden table that the BGE was sitting on was getting a little loose after 12 years of moving around the patio and being moved from house to house. This replacement table provides a lot more stability after being moved around the patio and moving from house to house. In addition to replacing the top, the table will be tightened up so that it can be put back into service as a barbecue I'm sorry,

The following is an update for While this cart has continued to be great overall, it has also been slow receiving updates this week. It is surprising to me that the BGE XL was as heavy as it is. It was in place with the caster locks. An unlock was made on one I have no problem with it! Attempting to unlock the other, I received an error message. There is no reason to believe it would. I found out part of the cast lock mechanism had rusted to such a degree that it simply broke and I managed to get it out without too much trouble. The cart has been the best, but I need to determine if the 50 cent part can be replaced, or if I need to purchase a whole new set of casters. Is that going to cost thousands of dollars? The lifespan of ALL components of my cart should have been much longer for the price of the cart. The locks are vital since the BGE and cart are now on a low deck that sits at approximately 1 foot above the ground. I'm not worried about accidentally rolling the whole thing off the edge because the locks keep everything in place. This is a great wheel that rolls easily. As the BGE is kept under a gazebo, it doesn't get (very) wet and I haven't used a full cover on it. The stainless steel on the other hand was not what I expected. Perhaps I'll have to spend more money on a cover for the BGE XL, plus, of course, I'll need a new caster as well. That this unexpected distraction has to happen is not something I am really looking forward to.
