Cave Tools has a couple of other products that have been good to me, so I bought this from them as well. you that this is the best thing I ever got when it comes to grilling, smoking and cooking. In general, I love making my own burgers out of different types of meat, so I have been wanting a burger press for a while now. I have been forming by hand for years, and it can be tedious at best. The ground beef I like can be found at your local grocery store. Yesterday, I went and got 15 pounds of it. I mixed it well, then measured it out into 30 servings. There are also 49-ounce burgers available. I would never do this in the past, I would only cook my burgers the day I was going to eat It would be great if I could take this thing for a ride and then seal up and freeze the burgers. This burger press requires 20 minutes to use to make burgers. Definitely would recommend it to friends and family, and I will purchase it again in the future. But there are a couple things you need to know. My first reaction was that I had to eat about 3 to 5 burgers to get through it. However, once I got past that, I was well oiled, making burgers like a machine was designed to do. My suggestion is to make the paper insert, which is provided with it, larger. If you put any sort of meat in there, they can't cover the press anymore. If possible, I would prefer that they be even an eighth of an inch larger. In any case, they provided it at no extra cost so there is no validity to my complaint. I also used a rounded portion of the handle of the burger press to make dots on the paper, (Dimples in burgers have been shared for years and they keep them from shrinking, becoming thick and smaller Putting the food on the grill was the real test. I've salt-and-peppered them and I'll wear them. The pies cooked faster than the ones I used to make by hand. They were perfectly round and maintained their shape even after being flipped. As if I'd purchased frozen hamburgers from the store, I placed the cheese on the burgers and they turned out perfect. A Harris Ranch bag can be found in a lot of This is a very good product, I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone.
We purchased this press to replace an old Italian burger press which was 92mm across and 22mm deep, and this one is 130mm across and 16mm Do not use the provided burger papers instead, place in the lower tray a large square plastic sheet, once filled to the border line as if thick burgers, place another sheet on top, and roll a large spoon or rolling pin to smooth out the By doing so, thicker patties can be made than could be achieved with a press when meat is filled to a maximum of There is a mark of 25 lines and you press it. As well as meat, can make canned tuna and chicken burgers.
For my particular use and like, it would have been ideal to count with The lower tray is now 30 inches deeper. All in all, I am very happy with the diameter of the patties being larger Aside from the Italian case, I will dismiss it immediately.
Once you get the hang of it, making perfect patties is no problem. Once the meat was ready to grill, the paper liners easily released it from the bag. The press was placed in the top rack of the dishwasher to be cleaned. One side should have a dimple maker so I don't need to make one myself to keep the patties from puffing up on the grill. In the future, I will make patties in advance and pack them in vacuum sealer bags for long term freezing. I will freeze each one for an hour and then package the patties.
When forming 1/4 lb patties, it may take some pressure on your part to get the meat pressed down all the way to the edges if the meat is cold, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I like the fact that it is light weight but thick and sturdy, cleans easily, and looks like it should last Our family teams up, with one of us weighing out the meat (hamburger, pork or chicken sausage) while the other presses the burgers into After they've been frozen, they can then be used later. When they are square, why does the wax paper liner have a square shape? It will be easier to remove the patty from the press if it has a corner that is easy to grasp.
It is worthless to keep the plastic holder thing around, so just chuck it out. I used a pair of lowe's vise grips for the second step and did not have any problems. Additionally, they are very well-designed and operate remarkably well.
I don't like it. Regardless of why the coating is flaking off, we don't know what happened. During the six months it lasted, it could not be used.
It has now been 3 years since I purchased my first burger press. of them are made of plastic, and this one is made of metal. It seems like they all use the same press to press burgers. I have one I made out of plastic with a bottom and a top, which works like the Cave Tools, but instead of making ridges in the hamburger, it makes rings. It was not made with a bottom on the second one. In the same way as the Cave Tool, the meat is placed on paper and manually pressed. It makes smaller/taller burgers than standard size, but I don't like the ridges in my burgers much. I prefer the Cave Tool, but I don't like how it makes ridges in my A side note Instead of buying square burger papers, purchase round burger papers (Amazon sells them). I like it so much better.
Using this product allows you to make hamburgers that cook at the same rate and serve as a 6'3" and 280 lbs I have always ate a little more than I should and have since started following portion control on dinners it is easy to clean and use a great product. Looking forward to it working with burgers on the grill during our first summer BBQ.
