After 5 years, the burners and heat tents were becoming difficult to clean, but they would have worked for a few more seasons. The only real issue was that the three original carry over tubes were rusting and not always properly transmitting the flame from burner to burner during light up. I was planning on ordering original manufacturer replacements from Char Grill or Grill Parts, but they were going to set me back around $30 plus tax. shipping. br>br>For $46 on Amazon Prime, I took a chance and ordered this complete rebuild kit. Today, the system was set up. It only took about 15 minutes to get everything to fit together perfectly. I'd just finished cleaning the grill a few days before. That's when I realized the carry-over tubes had gone bad. The only issues I had, as previously mentioned by others, were: There are eight spring clips that secure the various components in place. The four larger ones fit to hold the crossover tubes in place, but the smaller ones don't fit the upright supports against the back of the grill that hold the burners in place unless you pry them open further than they were designed to. Fortunately, I was able to save these from the old grill, so don't throw them away if at all possible. The second issue was that the new igniter, which is supposed to snap into grooves pressed into the bottom of the two burners, didn't pop in right away, so I had to fiddle around with a small screwdriver to pry the little clip fingers out and then pop it on with a channel lock. It wasn't difficult, and they even sent you a spare igniter in case you need to replace the one that lights the separate side burner. br>br>As with any new grill rebuild, a "no food on" burn trial should be performed to test and cook off any oily residue left over from the manufacturing process. After only 20 minutes of a wide open full on four burner test, the new adjustable carry over tubes were glowing cherry red, while nothing else appeared to be getting that hot or metal stressed. I probably shouldn't have been so aggressive with the temperature gauge because it was over 550 degrees, which was well above my normal cooking test, and now I see why these tubes rusted away first. Overall, this was a fantastic deal. br>br> My grill was refurbished for a low price, and all of the metal components were heavy-duty, not flimsy or poorly made. If the grill is still functional in 5 years, I would purchase it again.

grille with a burner The grille was only a year or so old, but we grill almost every day, and the heat shields, as well as some of the crossover tubes, were starting to fall apart. br>The kit arrived quickly and in excellent condition from China. The instructions were about as basic as those found in IKEA or other furniture stores. I just glanced over them, not really reading them, and then went to work removing my old components. The worst part was cleaning the grille! LOL The existing burners were still functional, so I kept them in case of an emergency. To keep gas in the system, I adjusted the crossover tubes so that the gap on the long side was as small as possible. Using channel-specific software, some careful tinkering Plyers of the lok type worked perfectly. The heavy-duty heat shields were especially appealing to me. Heavier than the originals by a long shot. At the back of the burner, I did use some of the hitch pin clips. In the kit, I couldn't find any suitable replacements. br>Overall, the grille appears to be brand new! Repairing the grille was well worth it!.

Three crossover tube parts per burner are included, presumably to make it more universal, but they must send the proper pieces for what I assume is a telescopic slide crossover assembly to fit various model grills. I couldn't get the included crossover parts to work on my Charbroil Performance grill, so I took the longest piece (which was too long to fit between the burners) and whittled it down with tin snips to make something that, thankfully, worked in the end. It is critical to pay close attention to packaging details in order to make the end user's experience less frustrating. The other nonsense is that the spring clips, washers, and screws used to connect the burners and crossover assemblies are made of NON-304 stainless steel. Why wouldn't you want all of your parts to be resistant to corrosion? The burners and shields appear to be well-made and of good quality, but cutting corners on the hardware is a bad idea. bad.

Installing it was a breeze. The following day, the kit arrived, and it was exactly as described. I wish I had taken a before photo to show how all of the original equipment had rusted and burned away. I read all of the instructions and became familiar with all of the parts after opening the box. In less than 30 minutes, I went outside and removed the old rusted parts before replacing them with new stainless steel ones. I used the grill for my daughter's 12th birthday party and was very pleased with how well it performed. This is a product that I strongly recommend!.

463347418 is a broil model. I'd like to order a Char- New grates, tubes, and tents were required for the Broil model 463347418 that I reconditioned. The kit was a perfect fit! The only issue I discovered was that each tube is held in place by eight clips. The larger ones fit to keep the crossover tubes in place, but the smaller ones do not fit the upright supports against the back of the grill that keep them in place. I was able to salvage five of the old grill's burners, which I put to good use. Now all we need to do is season the grill grates according to the instructions, and we'll be ready to grill for Memorial Day!.

Despite the fact that these were a little more expensive than some of the other replacement parts available, I decided to take a chance based on the advertised thickness. Not once did I feel let down. Although my grill only has four burners, the kit included five because some of these grills have five burners. I didn't need some of the extra parts, and the crossover tubes had a mismatch that didn't bother me. The installation was simple, and the performance improvement over my three-year-old OEM parts was astounding. My grill can now reach temperatures of over 500 degrees, which is ideal for making pizza. It is something I strongly suggest.

This kit was a perfect fit for my 463335517 grill, which I purchased in June of this year. We'll see how long it lasts before it needs to be replaced. It's preferable to shelling out $300 for a new grill. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be Although the description claims that it includes four electrodes, the one I received only had two. Because my grill only requires one, this isn't a problem.
