This is the first decent BBQ I've ever had. The piece is well built, easy to put together, and works perfectly the first time. When I turned it on, I soon found the temperature rose to 500 degrees. Likewise, I found a nice thermometer that pokes into it from the side and it is great as well. There have been a few kinds of BBQs I have searched for that could easily be used at home, but this one is the best. There is no doubt that I recommend this product. A NEW UPDATE Within a few months, the pressure regulator failed and had to be replaced so that it could be used. It cost nearly $60 to replace the regulator, so I am not happy it does not last long and I will have to pay over $300 to replace something that should last a lifetime. Now that I have nearly $300 invested,.
I cannot cook anything adequately on my Weber grill because it doesn't heat up enough. Upon discussing this problem with the company, they suggested that the problem is the regulator needs to "pressurize" before it lights up. For this reason, the gas should be turned on and the grill should be lit for at least one minute before lighting, and for longer if the weather is subpar. Although this appeared to improve the performance of the grill, mine still did not achieve enough heat, averaging only 250 degrees over 20 minutes. It was then informed to me by the company that the propane tank I was using had a defective safety device known as an "OPD" that allowed the flow of gas to be blocked. Since the 1-litre propane canister I purchased did not improve performance, one assumes that the issue is not with the OPD safety device on the propane tank since the propane canister does not contain an OPD.
I then decided to purchase a generic regulator as well as some adapters for the 1/8" non-standard regulators An orifice based on a U shape is characteristic of the Weber grill You can find a video on how to fix a low flow Weber Q grill on YouTube. Considering the number of visitors to this site, 35,000 hits were on a guide on how to repair a Q series Weber grill. It has been found that the Weber Grill can reach temperatures of over 400 degrees in as little as twenty minutes after such modifications are made. suggests a problem with the regulators on Weber grills, which are either of poor quality or poorly designed, and that either the customer service department does not understand how to diagnose a defective regulator or that they are just being circumspect. I would recommend throwing away the regulator if your Weber Q series Grill does not heat up adequately within ten or fifteen minutes and getting a generic regulator in its place.
Weber was advertised as being long lasting and trouble-free, so that is why I bought it. In the past few weeks, we've used it two or three Keeping it clean was my priority. I always kept it indoors. The regulator is seized up just as I've gotten it out to grill. This is only useful at high and cannot be used at any other level. The price was not what I considered affordable either for a tabletop It lasted a few years, but I hoped it would last a bit longer. My call to the support number listed on the Amazon page was misdirected. The only thing they could offer me after I finally reached someone at Weber was to send me a new 49 regulator. The time is 00 plus We offer shipping for only $10. 00. We are not interested. It was explained that the gas was not turned on all the way or the fitting on the hose was not up to standards causing the problem. It's the hose that came with the grill, so I don't know why it would cause the regulator to latch up. I have never had that happen before even when using a cheap It was a waste of Weber's time. We will not buy this product.
You can't go wrong with this portable grill! am not a fan of original Qs, but the one shown in the picture is a great one. To take advantage of the griddle, I upgraded to the newer style with split grates. In the past few years, my old Q has accumulated many miles, and the ignition bracket is rusting out. To replace it, I went to Winters in Vermont were never cold enough for it to be covered. In addition to being easier to clean, this will also look better than the original cast iron grate (don't mind the food leftovers from last night's burgers). Webber makes the best for the price! Hands down!.
A few emails back and forth later, and after trying to get some sort of response from Weber, the only answer they could offer was Is it possible that you did not properly clean it, told me that only a new plastic leg set would be sent to me? There is no help from Weber customer service, they simply blame me, especially when the grill is only two years old and ruined because Weber uses plastic on a grill that is meant to get intensely hot. Why would any company put plastic on a grill meant to get so hot?
This is the product I bought in December. It has been used and loved since I got it in 2018. A few weeks ago I had no problems with my grill until I looked out the window after cooking a steak and noticed black smoke coming from it. I used baking soda to put out the flames which were caused by melting cheap plastic legs on the grill. A small amount of plastic got into the bowl of the grill and caught fire. My first attempt at contact Weber failed, but I sent a pic and described the problem. It appears that they decided that I only needed a new plastic leg piece without contacting me in advance. I think this is stupid and it won't repair the damage I did to my In the past few days, I have tried contacting Weber, sent and replied to emails, but they are only offering to send a plastic part to repair the grill, and I have not heard back from them about fixing my damaged It's very disappointing that Weber has failed to deliver, I thought they were a good company, but it seems that they weren't.
A future update will be provided if this is resolved. Grates made from cast iron are great. Fits well and is a good part. It is the perfect size for a small tabletop. Below is an overview of the issues I am experiencing (and we are currently working with customer service to resolve them). In terms of accommodations, they have been great) On the battery pack for the ignition system, all the tabs were broken off. As the battery doesn't replace itself, it will need to be replaced if it runs out. The unit is self contained, so the battery needs to be replaced if the system fails. It would not be possible for propane to continue flowing through There would be a fire, but it wouldn't continue to burn. It appears to be a blockage in the burner ring of the Coleman, as I charged that heater with the same tank and it was fine. Without tearing it apart, it was probably blocked air flow in the burner I am not sure, but I cannot give a definitive answer. The customer service has been good so far, and I am getting a new one (and requesting that defective ones be returned at no charge), so I will keep this updated as soon as possible.
