There are eight in the Q1400. Per square inch, the power consumption is 25 watts. There are five in the Q2400. The wattage per square inch is 5 watts. Math isn't deceiving in any way. 1400 degrees is fantastic, and it will quickly reach and maintain searing temperatures. 2400 is a bit of a stretch. It isn't a question of who will heat up faster; rather, the little guy will maintain the heat throughout the process. In this case, smaller is preferable. The 1400 is the way to go unless you have a big crew.
I used foil to line the bottom removable liner. Things tend to get a little messed up as a result of this. I agree that wiping it down, removing the pan, and cleaning it with soap and water is a good idea. Also, after reading Weber's advice, they don't recommend using foil to line the drip pan or the reflective liner.
120/110 voltsbr>P is the voltage of the unit. This is the most amazing little grill I've ever seen!
We have one, and it generates a lot of heat. Weber, I'm guessing, doesn't want the liability, and it's never been approved for use indoors.

For the past five years, I've had one of these. Summer and winter can be spent on the deck. Coverage is not available. Snow, ice, rain, and the sun of summer. It was used four times. Every week, on five days. Never had a bad experience. At the age of five, I finally blinked out. It was thrown away. It was the outlet it was plugged into that was discovered a month later. Oh crap! Two months ago, I purchased another. This is the best electric grill that has ever been created. This small footprint heats up to sear temperatures, so it's a good buy. Although the larger ones have the same wattage, they are unable to produce the same heat. In this case, smaller is better. KEEP THE LID CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. Tonite, I baked potatoes and grilled pork chops at the same time (I started the potatoes 40 minutes ahead of time). This unit is bulletproof and simple to operate, resulting in an excellent result. There's no need for gas, charcoal, or other combustible materials, and there's no mess Best wishes to you.
This little Grill has been in my possession for about two and a half months. It far outstripped my wildest expectations. We went with the 1400 model, which has been ideal for the two of us. This grill cooks as well as or better than any gas grill I've ever used; my previous gas grill was a Weber Q300. It took some getting used to, but the clean up with this grill is very easy. I clean the grates every time I use it when it cools down, clean them, and put them right back in. I also use aluminum foil with the bottom liner, which some people don't, but I find it keeps it cleaner, and I wash that, throw the aluminum away, and I'm ready to go. As a result, I've been absent for a while. I'm getting a little carried away, but I'd recommend this grill to anyone, particularly singles or couples.
I've been using hickory chips to make foil smoke pouches, and they've turned out great. The chips don't need to be soaked in any way. I prefer the flavor without the added smoke, and I can detect smokiness without them. I've always enjoyed cooking over wood, so that's a plus! Because I live in an apartment with a balcony, this is my only viable grilling option. After years of not tasting these flavors, I'm ecstatic to be able to do so once more. It isn't quite as good as gas or charcoal, but it isn't bad either! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> In 2018, I purchased this grill, and I have no regrets! I just bought my first replacement element today (2021). This small grill is permanently installed on my balcony, and I use it frequently throughout the year. I still can't believe I can get such good results with an electric grill!.
I figured I'd give an electric grill a shot, but I wasn't looking forward to it. AT ALL! I figured it'd be similar to a griddler I used to have. But only a little. But, after deciding that I really wanted a grill for my porch, I went ahead and bought one. After doing a lot of research, I decided to go with the Weber because they are known for producing high-quality products. The small grill arrived today, so that's a plus. Setting it up was a breeze. It was only a matter of attaching the lid and then the handle. And I made the decision to try my hand at some chops. MAN, WAS I STUNNED! This grill performed similarly to a gas grill, with the exception that I didn't have to worry about the propane tank running out. I followed the directions and set it to high for 20 minutes to warm up. Then I threw on some really thick pork chops, which sizzled. SIZZLING! I flipped them over and seared the other side after letting one side sear. In a flash, they were cooked to perfection. The pork chops were juicy and there was smoke, but no fire. I'm quite taken aback. I even told my best friend that she needed to get one of these. There isn't any charcoal, and there isn't any natural gas. Simply connect it to the power source and start cooking. I'm really happy with it.
The best grill that has ever existed! I had originally purchased the 2400 grill, but after receiving it, I realized that I only have 4 people in my house, and the 1400 grill is a better fit for the amount of grilling required; the 2400 grill is perfect for 4 people, but it was too big for us. Tonight was the first time I used my grill, and the steak was AMAZING! It only took half an hour to finish. I adore my new outdoor electric grill because I purchased a perfect triangle-shaped table for $20 on Facebook Marketplace, purchased copper sheeting to go on the table, and added a few hooks around the outside to create a grill table. This grill is fantastic and I intend to use it frequently. I'm excited to start making burgers, and then I'm going to get a grill plate so I can make eggs and breakfast, as well as bacon, on there! Bacon is one of my favorite foods. After that, I intend to purchase the side table inserts that fit into the handles. They will fit both sizes of grills, so make sure you get the right one. This grill isn't available in stores, so we're grateful for Amazon and Amazon's ability to sell it. For the first time in my life, I'm a satisfied griller! I'm hoping for a long life from this grill!.
This is fantastic for someone who lives in a high-rise condo where grilling is forbidden. My original rating was five stars, but after throwing it away today, I reduced it to one star. In March of 2018, I purchased the grill. The first problem I had was with a burned-out part, so Weber sent me a replacement. It was a hassle to set up, but I got it done in the end. I'm throwing it away today, May 7, 2019. Something had blown out yet again. The light flashes to indicate that something is cooking, but there is no heat. I decided to toss it because I couldn't bear it any longer. Because electronics are so finicky, I'll probably buy a propane portable next. I live in Florida, but I brought it inside during the summer when I was away, so it's not due to the weather. Sorry, Weber, you normally produce excellent products, but you failed miserably on this occasion.
