What does it matter? Everything is made in China or Mexico, so it doesn't matter. Parts are shipped to the United States, where they are assembled so that the box can say "Made in the USA." What difference does it make if it works well?
The main pieces on top and bottom are said to be cast in an Iowa foundry. "Made in China" is written on the parts box inside the main box, which includes the grates and miscellaneous hardware. Yes, if you're not careful, it can fall off the edge of the grill and onto the ground, especially when trying to slide a spatula under something like a burger and the burger moves a few inches before you can get under it. However, if it happens more than once, you'll quickly figure out how to avoid it. I usually slide the spatula towards the center of the cooking grate (rather than the outer edge) so that the meat has more grill surface in front of it. Alternatively, two hands can be used. When using tongs or a fork, there are no issues at all.

Last year, I bought this grill on Amazon and wish I could rate it a 7! Barbecuing is one of my favorite pastimes. Except for broiling fish, I rarely use my oven. I have a Kamado grill as well as a pellet grill. I really can't say enough good things about those two grills. My PK Grill, on the other hand, is my go-to grill. If I'm just cooking for myself or two or three people and want a few pieces of chicken, hamburgers, chops, or hot dogs, this grill is ideal. I use the indirect set up and smoke the chicken at about 325 degrees with apple wood chunks smoke, and it always comes out perfect. When smoking your meat, you can achieve a convection air flow by adjusting the top and bottom vents. On the side with the charcoal, simply open the bottom vent and close the top vent, while on the side with the meat, simply close the bottom vent and open the top vent. You infuse whatever you're cooking with that wonderful smoked flavor. A fantastic grill in every way.
The issue has now been solved! I don't want to go through the hassle of re-ordering because one of the side supports was damaged when it arrived. This large item must be packed and returned. I simply want a replacement support, but there are no contact numbers available as of yet. br>I spoke with Cindy at PK directly, and she was able to ship the part in less than 20 minutes. I purchased this because I was tired of replacing rusted grills and it was made in the United States. I really like how it cooks now that I've used it a few times. There are, however, two major design flaws. One, I upgraded to a stainless grill grate, but because the surface is flush with the grill's rim, any rounded meats (hot dogs, sausage, etc. ) will roll off. The second problem is that there is nothing to catch the ashes so they can be disposed of easily. These two things do not appear to be a problem in terms of money.
The process of forging aluminum could be better. The finished product required some machining to make it more acceptable for the money spent. I wish there had been a grill height option as well as a lower shelf to send. It required a second side self in order to appear more balanced. To make it the same height as my old BBQ, I added the two shelves and extra height. You're the one who sold me these. I also included the thermometer, which should have been included with the Q. Because the PK cover kept flying off, I decided to get rid of it. It's not held in place by any straps. The best part is that this Q is more effective than any other Q I've ever used. If the PK company were mine, I'd offer more height and shelf options in order to compete on price, and I'd also include the thermometer. All of the questions I've had had one, and it should have been included for the money. It would be extremely beneficial if these details were given more attention and if the public could see them in the store. However, it's a fantastic question right now.
This gem is the epitome of awesomeness! I've grilled steaks a few times now, and the grill stays hot for a long time! You can put the thing out by closing the vents and reusing the lump charcoal that has been left over. My next endeavor will be to smoke a brisket!.

My children commented right away that it appeared to be too short for me (6'0") to work with. My large gas grill is 10 inches lower, and my small gas grill is 9 inches lower. The height of the kitchen range is ten inches lower than the average. I'll try to extend my legs, but it'll be difficult. Before you go out and buy something, get a tape measure and visualize the working height. br>Concerns about quality and design: Screws are too long for the cap. br> Bolts in the head Before the frame's structure could be tightened, two of the bolts bottomed out. The frame is a little wobbly, and they can be spun by hand. To fix, I'll space them out with washers/lock washers. For a frame that will be stressed and move during use, I would have preferred lock washers to be included from the start. br>The axel's wheel retainer caps are loose. Instead of using a hammer to set the bottom, they did it by hand. In a year or so, I anticipate the wheels wobbling or falling off. These problems can be resolved by the customer, but they strike me as indicators of poor design or material quality control. I sincerely hope they aren't.
All I have to say is. "WOW". br>This little grill does a fantastic job of cooking! Following the death of my old Webber - I thought about this grill for a long time. br>It isn't cheap, but it has a lot of positive feedback. br>So I took the plunge, and I must say that I am blown away! br>It only took 5 minutes to assemble the grill, - The frame is only held together by a few nuts and bolts. br>However, by golly, this thing is well-made. Extremely durable and of excellent quality. br>After 5 cooks, I have to say that this PK grills and smokes beautifully. br>The heating is very even thanks to the air control and tight casting. br>Burgers and steaks were cooked to perfection, with beautiful char marks. The smoked brisket, in particular, was outstanding. It isn't a large grill, but it is ideal for a small family. br>As for the quality, it'll last me a lifetime. plus a little more! br>Many thanks to PK for resurrecting this classic.
This grill is a favorite of mine and my husband. We use our grill for about 2 months out of the year. Every week, four times. This was purchased to replace a Weber kettle. grill with a unique design We've used it as a grill and a smoker, and it's worked out beautifully. Steaks, burgers, bratwursts, pork chops, and salmon grilled on the grill. So far, I've used this grill to smoke a whole KC strip roast, prime rib, whole chicken, and ribs, and I'm pleased with the results. This grill weighs a ton, a ton, a ton, a ton My husband appreciates the fact that he can turn off the heat and use the charcoal again. We adore how it cooks. Cooks evenly in a short amount of time. The only flaw is that we wish it were a little larger and had a flipping lip.
