Questions & Answers
It's a perfect fit for the 1100 series. The money was well spent. In North Dakota, we were able to use the grill during the winter months.
The Pit Boss 820 grill has a lower capacity than the Pit Boss 1000 grill. The blanket is going to be too big.
It will fit a 1,000 square foot grill, so if your Rancher CL is 1,000 square feet, it will fit.
The 1100 insulated blanket will fit the 1150, but the 1000 blanket might be a little short.

This was purchased for the recently released Lowes exclusive Pro Series 850, for which Pit Boss has yet to release a thermal cover. I was in desperate need because I was smoking a brisket for Christmas Eve with a high temperature of 6 degrees in my area. br>br>I had assumed I'd have to do some retro-fitting. fitting. This is not true - On some models, it fit perfectly outside of a cutout for a lid thermometer. The handle was in the same place as before, with magnets on the edges to keep it in place. It was also heavy duty. I couldn't be more pleased.
It is strongly suggested. The Pit Boss Austin XL is what I have. This is a perfect fit. It was a little pricey, but there aren't many other options. br>br> I considered getting a fiberglass fire retardant blanket from Harbor Freight, as did many others. One disadvantage is that if you inadvertently brush against the blanket, it can be extremely itchy. I was also concerned about fibers getting into the grilled food. This official insulated blanket, on the other hand, is coated, very thin, and magnetically attached to the lid. In a nutshell, the quality is night and day, and it's ready for your Pit Boss. br>br>As far as I can tell, the goal is to reduce pellet burn and maintain temperature stability. Because I'm constantly changing what I'm cooking, how long I cook/smoke, and the weather is always a little different from day to day, comparing burn rates between days is like comparing apples and oranges. In a nutshell, it's difficult to quantify any "savings. " The blanket appears to help the smoker warm up faster and maintain a more consistent temperature. br>br>In conclusion, and based on my observations, I believe the blanket is an excellent addition, particularly in cooler weather.
When it's cold, it retains heat well and uses only a fraction of the pellets. Because I live in northwest Iowa, I need this to use the smoker during the winter. I cooked dinner, turned off the grill, and came back out 40 minutes later to roll the grill back inside, where it was still at 220°F, which astounded me. I'd buy it again because it's a great deal.
On my Pitboss 1150 PS2, this is fantastic. It makes a significant difference in terms of keeping heat inside and preventing temperature swings that can ruin a meal. Fits any of the 1000 or 1050 series models. The lower strap, which isn't necessary to keep the cover on the smoker, was the only thing I had a problem with. Excellent craftsmanship. Overall, I would strongly recommend it.
The digital pb1100 pro series is no longer supported. It will fit, but you'll need to drill a hole for a temperature gauge, which isn't available on the Pro Series 1100 model. However, buying rather than fabricating something to keep the heat in is more cost effective. Overall, the quality is excellent; however, I wish it had been made specifically for my model rather than being a multi-model fitment type.
It was 28 degrees outside and the sun was setting when I used this. My smoker kept the same temperature as if it were summer. I continued to cook for another hour, and the temperature only dropped a few degrees. The smoker, on the other hand, had no problems keeping the temperature at the desired level. It reads 260 but was set to 250, as you can see. I was barely able to hit 225 without it. When the temperature is set to 250 degrees, the result is 235 degrees. I would strongly suggest it.
cigarette smoking in the weather I purchased this in the fall and have yet to use it. It says not to use the blanket unless the outside temperature is below freezing, which I agree with. I used it when I was about 28 years old, and I probably didn't have to. I smoked a mini brisket for several hours, and it maintained its temperature with ease, barely touching the pellet stack. br>br>In terms of the product, it's fantastic. Internal magnets on the front and back edges keep it in place on the body and lid of the smoker. In addition to the velcro flap that goes under the handle, there is a strap that can be looped around the back legs. Once it's turned on, it'll become an integral part of your smoker. The 820 Pro Series, which has since been replaced by the 850, is the one I have. According to another review, it appears to fit both, but if you haven't already, I'd recommend getting one now.
The product was delivered on time and in excellent condition. The quality of the product blew me away. It's a thick, heavy material. It was a perfect fit for the grill. I've noticed that the grill is getting hotter and hotter. It is unquestionably more efficient when pellets are used as directed. When smoking brisket, turkey, and pork shoulder, the blanket came in handy. A fantastic item!.
