Smoke is produced primarily, but some heat is produced as well. Place the tube as far away from food as possible if you're cold smoking.

These were only purchased a week ago, but I'm already in love with them. br> Mine didn't come with any instructions, but they aren't really necessary. br> Here are a few pointers on how to use it. br> Fill to the topbr> Tap it down to keep the pellets in place for the best smoke. br> TO LIGHT, YOU MUST HAVE A TORCHbr> I tried without one and it took an eternity, but I was just curious as to why. br> Light it and let the end FLAME for a few minutes, similar to how you would do charcoal. br> Once the pellets are ashed up and burning well, blow them out and place them in the smoker, but not too close to an opening so that the smoke covers your food. br> And depending on how long and how much smoke you want, you can either stand it up on end (which produces the most smoke) or lay it on its side (which produces the most smoke but only lasts about an hour). br> If you stand up like a candle, you'll be able to smoke for a few hours or more. br> Best wishes and a good Q. If you're looking for a unique way to.
Buuuuut. The product is effective, and it significantly increases the amount of smoke produced by my pellet smoker. The problem is that the pellets do not burn properly for actual smoking. They produce a lot of tar, which has soaked my smoker's interior and lid. To be fair, when you use one of these, you can taste more smoke on your food, but I wouldn't recommend using it for more than 2 hours; when I fill one of these completely, it burns for about 5 1/2 to 6 hours.
I bought these to give my pellet grill a little more smoke. It works great, and even though I've only used one so far, I can say that it adds that extra smoke that a pellet grill lacks. There's no need to stop, reload, or relight because each filling lasts about 4 hours. This is an excellent item.
It really works. It adds a little more smoke flavor to my Traeger, which it lacked before. It's best to stand it on end and use a propane torch to light the pellets. Allow it to birth for about 5 minutes, then blow it out and place it in the grill on its side. It takes about 5 hours to smoke a full tube.
On a propane grill, it adds extra smoke flavor to my food as long as I don't burn it. It makes my food taste great with the extra flavor of the wood chips I choose. I would definitely recommend it because it's inexpensive and efficient.
The order was delivered on time. Overall, this was a good buy at a good price. One of the tubes, however, arrived without a bottom, which I quickly fixed by stuffing some aluminum foil into the gap. Depending on humidity and airflow, tubes can smoke for 5 to 6 hours. It's a little more difficult to light than the larger square opening tubes, but it's not a deal breaker. Two thumbs up for this article.
This is a good product that produces a lot of smoke but does not last as long as the manufacturer claims. Within an hour, I needed to restock the pellets. I used wood chips in a similar way.
Other smoke tubes exist in my possession. This one doesn't produce as much smoke as the rest of my collection. It's simple to light, but you'll have to re-light it every now and then. If you're smoking a light cigarette, turn on the light. The rube is about 6 hours long, just like my other.
