I needed a new grill, and after becoming dissatisfied with propane, I decided to switch to charcoal. br>br>The Weber Kettle 22 is an excellent charcoal grill for use on a regular basis. It's small enough that you don't need to fill it with charcoal to get heat, and there are a plethora of options and accessories to customize it to your exact needs. br>br>I chose this grill because I wanted a little extra table space while still keeping my deck small. br>br>This version was perfect for the job. It's incredibly easy to put together. br>br> It took me about 45 minutes of beer drinking and tinkering to get it all put together and ready to go. br>br>I've cooked burgers, steaks, and smoked sausage with it so far, and it's done a fantastic job. The lid holder on the side, the updated ash can, and the gourmet grill grate system with the hole in the middle so you can pop in a sear grate are all advantages of this version. If you enjoy cooking with charcoal, you will not be disappointed in purchasing a kettle. br>br>All you have to do is get one.
This is a new style for me because it features a hole in the center of the top grill that can be used to store various items. I'm excited to try new things and, as always, repeat some of my favorites, such as grilled pizza and, of course, smoking pork butts. It will take some time to season this grill, but I am confident that I will succeed. In terms of quality, the Weber grill is still the best I've ever used, and I don't give 5 stars to just anything!.
br>Weber took a few shortcuts, the first of which was the wheels, which were far too cheap. What a pity, Weber! Remove the Office Chair casters from the front axle and get rid of those cheap back wheels! br>I'll take care of it right away! br>Before the grill arrived, I ordered a few accessories from Amazon (Stainless Grade, Charcoal Box, and Cover). I'm disappointed with the grades, which are chrome plated. Why not stainless steel? We're all willing to pay more if you can just give us a product that will last! br>Overall, the grill performed admirably during my first cookout!.
This was purchased to replace a not-so-great item. too- old gas grill with rusted grates and a tendency to overheat. We chose charcoal over gas because the food tastes so much better. food cooked on the grill While it takes a little longer to heat the charcoal, the flavor difference has been worth it thus far. We bought match light charcoal, which meant we couldn't use the chimney we ordered as an add-on, but the charcoal burned just fine in the grill. We'll use charcoal without added propellant next time so we can use the chimney and keep things simple. You'll be cooking in less than 20 minutes, regardless of the type of charcoal you use. This isn't a bad thing at all! We always let the gas grill preheat for a few minutes anyway - We now only do food prep work while the oven is heating up. It's convenient to have a separate grate for the charcoal, and the one-piece grate is also convenient. The "touch clean out" feature is very useful. The side tray is well-built and glides effortlessly up and down. The tool hooks are extremely useful. br>br>I put this grill together myself (with some help from my four-year-old son). year- old) - With the exception of the center nut for the lid holder, it was not difficult. The adjustable crescent wrench couldn't get the nut tight enough in the concave center of the grill bowl, so a ratchet wrench was required. Aside from that, the instructions were clear and simple to follow. The stand is sturdy and well-built, and the components appear to be of good quality. There are fancier versions of this grill available, but we went with the smaller version because the gas lighter system seemed unnecessary (and the small propane tanks are unrecyclable and expensive). We didn't want any electronic components in an outdoor grill system, and the grill is no exception. 22 inches, with the ability to add additional cooking components, as seen in larger Performer models. We have other options for storing our charcoal. It also takes up less space on the patio than a traditional grill. Model that can be folded This small grill has made us very happy. To finish the look, we purchased a matching cover, brush, and chimney. br>br>We expect this grill to provide us with many years of service. We had our previous two grills for less than a decade, and they were both gas-powered. the 10- The fact that it comes with a one-year warranty makes me optimistic that it will last a long time.
This is a fantastic take on the classic Weber! I seriously considered purchasing the "deluxe" version, which includes a fixed table and gas ignition, but I couldn't justify the additional cost. br>Made the "mistake" of switching to a ***GASP*** gas grill a few years ago, and have been kicking myself ever since. After a windstorm "tossed" the gas grill about 7 feet and severely damaged it, it was time to "return to the fold" of charcoal. Seriously, this is a fantastic "kettle" edition! It's simple to put together, and the folding table makes it even more convenient. The "new" (to me) cover holder is fantastic, and the thermometer's "new" (again, to me) placement in the cover appears to provide more accurate readings. br>I love the (really) new grilling grate. Aside from being able to use a wok, griddle, or sear plate, the removable center section, when combined with the hinged sides, allows for easy fire maintenance. br>While I could go on and on about this grill, suffice it to say that, in all seriousness, we have grilled more times with the Performer than we did with the gas grill in the previous 6 years. Purchase one as a gift to yourself. You won't be disappointed!.
