Weber 14516001 Master-Touch Charcoal Grill, Deep Ocean Blue

Except for the grill grate, I really enjoy my new grill. When it comes to cleaning/brushing the grate, I agree with other reviewers that the removable center is a pain. With only a little brushing force, that piece will easily pop out and fall to the ground. Weber should have designed that piece to lock in place so that it doesn't pop out when you use a wire brush on it. br>br>Color is fantastic, lid holder is excellent, and I really like the ash collector compared to older kettles.

My father has a couple of smokers as well as a Weber Mastertouch. I was so taken aback by his Weber that I decided to purchase one of my own. I've probably cooked more meals on the Weber in three weeks than I did on the old gas grill in five years. From chicken wings to beef brisket, I've tried my hand at it all. It simply produces excellent cuisine. This model is fairly simple to clean, and I prefer it to the gas grill it replaced. My wife and I agree that the food has improved in quality. br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat and have already recommended it to a few friends.

My grill handle was not damaged by the delivery, despite the fact that the box was slightly damaged. The grill was harmed before it was even packaged, as evidenced by the photographs. The handle is bent and the paint is missing. br>Also, there were no written instructions; only pictures were provided to show how to put it together. I even went to the website they recommended but found no verbal instructions.

My surname is Weber, and I'm a Weber. Although I already own a Weber Genesis (natural gas hookup) in this lovely blue color, my family and I have been yearning for the taste of charcoal. We also have a Weber Smokie Joe, but we felt it was time to upgrade to something more serious and keep the Smokie Joe for travel and camping. I did a lot of research before buying this grill, and we thought it would last us a long time. With the rapid fire chimney starter, I can easily host larger parties and meet the food demand. The coal baskets and the charcoal catcher at the bottom of the model are what make it such a good deal.

How did written assembly instructions end up in the trash? To put this thing together, it appears that you must be a monkey. Regardless, the monkey was able to decipher the hieroglyphs with the bare minimum of tools. br>br>When I first arrived, one of my legs was bent. It's infuriating to see the $220 price tag. The hardware provided for tightening down the lid storage assembly is insufficient. The clips that hold the legs on push up into the tube of the leg past the point where they are supposed to pop out. There's a lot of shoddy work going on. Extra hardware makes you wonder what went wrong. br>br> nothing. It was a unique opportunity. br>br>Aside from those annoyances, which are all part of the quality control process, I'm pleased enough with my purchase. If Weber is reading this, I'd appreciate a new leg to replace the broken one.

Overall, this grill is quite nice. Although it took me a long time to figure out the differences between all the Weber charcoal grills, I bought this one primarily because it is taller than other 22-inch grills. Why do I have to look for videos on YouTube and other sites to explain the differences between the various Weber charcoal grill levels? You'd think that a company like Weber would make a nice (short) video that clearly explains the differences. That seems to be an unreasonable request. Furthermore, I would much rather have a stainless steel grate for this grill than some of the gimmicks/accessories, such as the charcoal baskets and warming rack. If you're familiar with the charcoal snake method, I'd argue that the charcoal baskets are no longer necessary. Is the warming rack actually going to be used? I won't. Because the grill grate's center is removable, it can only be placed flat. When all you want to do is put it down, it's extremely inconvenient. br>It's a nice grill overall. Get rid of the gimmicks and focus on quality all the way through. Rather than attempting to include a slew of extras that may or may not be used, focus on the essentials.

The box had absolutely no dents or dings. The mailman who delivered it was also a Weber fan, so he took extra precautions not to damage it and even offered to bring some Cherry wood scraps from his collection. br>After that, it's time to construct. After watching a few YouTube videos, I put the kettle together without even looking at the instructions, which were tucked away in the char baskets. My legs were the only issue I had. Mineral Oil was applied to the legs, which helped. br>With a Weber kettle, you can't go wrong, and this one had the color, features, and accessories that put it ahead of the pack in my opinion. br>At the end of the day, This is a grill that I wholeheartedly recommend. Weber is confident in their construction, as it comes with a 10-year no-burn or-rust-through warranty. That is all there is to it.
