Questions & Answers

How long will it last? Do you think it was worth the money and is it holding up well?

Is it true? Can you tell me how it will hold up over the next The likelihood is that it won't happen. There is a likelihood of losing a leg or pin if it's flimsy. Take care of it and use it again and again if you're diligent and take good care of it. As a result, I think it's best to buy a disposable grill unless you feel you'll get multiple uses out of it in a single

For each use of Charcol, how much do you pay?

The question seems strange to me. My price for a bag of charcoal is the same as everyone else's.

For people who have been using it for a while, this question is for you. How did it hold up to heat and environmental conditions? What is the condition of the metal? Does it rust or warp?

The foil I used to line my model with before inserting the charcoal was so it would not catch on fire. All of the foods I cooked were allowed to cool when I was finished. In order to safely remove the metal of the grill, we let it cool down, removed it, cleaned it in the sink, and allowed it After it rusted for just a few days outside, without any thought, I left it out in It was like a fool who threw it away instead of cleaning it up. It truly will not be possible to live without another versatile, easy to store and use A separate package of sausages or hot dogs can be cooked at the same time as 4 chicken leg quarters or 4 hamburger patties.

If you set a pot of water or soup on the grill, can you heat it, or will it flame out?

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to put this grill to use. It cannot be assembled properly since there are no screws, which leads me to believe it is not sturdy enough to create a pot of boiling water.

Latest update Review of this grill from the perspective of an honest customer
5/5

*It's been three years since my second one was killed, so that's my update for July 11th, 2021. While camping, the first one did not die exactly, it just decided to take a walk. A wind and rain storm caused the book to blow away from the table, and it wasn't there when I woke Second, circumstances led to the unfortunate situation. It was a good idea to ask someone else to dump the ashes and put them up as my body was ready to collapse from exhaustion. I got into the truck and backed over it after loading it up from the side. A dump of ashes in a dumpster and it being put up means "sit your truck in a parking lot and In the beginning, it lasted no more than two years, although it probably would have. A new version of the software was required at that time Several seasons were applied to this product, and it held up In fact, the second one lasted for two trips, but it cannot be blamed on In either case. I would have cleaned it myself if I had. The grill is still highly recommended if you can fit it in a small space and want to stow it This is

-. I'll follow up with an update and my original review. A July 14th, 2018 update is now available,

So. . . This remains a 5 star rating for me. The device has now been used around ten times and has proven to be a great tool. Through a few storms, I even left it outside with ashes in it without rust, and it came out looking like new.

I used a stainless scrubber to- With the help of the barkeeper's friend and a Scotchbrite pad, dust the pins and- Rub the rusted area with a little rust removing agent, and then rewire It is now as good as new after a seasoning.
In my original post, I asked "Would I buy it again?" It's probably true. "Is it something I would buy again?" Let's change that to "Would I buy it again?" Without a doubt.
I purchased 20 more so that every bike has one, every car/truck/SUV has one, the RV has three, and that I have a few left over if I think I will need more than one on a trip or if a friend wants one. Is this overkill? I think maybe. As with most products, I could not tell when they would stop making it, so I figured I would stock up while supplies last. Whenever there are any changes, we will provide an This is

-. -See the review from the original here - My reason for choosing it was the size when collapsed I wanted something small that would easily fit in one of my backpacks while I was on motorcycle trips. Among my many grills, I own quite a few Several propane, butane, charcoal, pellet, and electric smokers are available. You cannot use this grill for all kinds of purposes. I would not recommend buying this grill with the intention of setting it on a plastic lawn table and cooking a rack of lamb. If melted lawn table is your thing, then don't buy it. Thus, it goes without saying that this grill is in fact fine for what it is, and is better than a disposable aluminum foil grill. One reviewer stated the product had a coating which reeked of It looks like the legs/assembly pins are coated with lamp black, and even though this is an old school way to do things, it is yet another way to do it. This is the good news 1) It takes up almost no space at all. 1) It is almost weightless compared to the other two materials. 3) It does what it says it will As an example It is a stove that can cook food when it is lit with charcoal or wood. 4) If you know what you are doing and have used a tiny charcoal grill before, it actually works quite well. 5). Everything is made of ferro-magnetic materials, so no aluminum is used. (I am not a hippie but thin aluminum burns up and gives off a nasty fume. It does not, thin steel/iron does not)

The One side has a slide, while the other three side So that's that. I am not sure what good that does. Here are the bad things 1) It's probably a good idea to wash it before using it. There are no issues with the panels, the grill surface is perfect, but the pinned are all over the place. It will take only a few minutes for your hands to turn black. All you have to do is wash everything well, scrub well, rinse well, and bake it at 250 for 10 minutes, then pack it in a ziplock bag once it has cooled to a pleasant temperature. In the case of a collapsed grill, the legs fall out (see below for details)
2). The grill surface is not attached to the firebox (see instruction below)
3) There is no abrasion from the grill surface. If I had a choice, I would have preferred stainless steel or carbon steel sprayed with machine oil or lamp black and given instructions on how to scrub and season it prior to Here are some tips on how to use the app *a) If you don't wish to wash it, you may prefer to leave it packaged until you are ready to use it. There will be a lot of mud. While I am not sure whether the paper packaging is die cut, everything seems to be covered in paper fibers, and the legs are coated in a lamp black color (which isn't It is possible to coat the pins in vegetable oil and season them like cast iron after you wash them. **2) To keep the legs from falling out, curve your thumbs just a little more into them to prevent them from falling out. Although it takes a little more effort to fit them all in, when you flip them over they actually hold in place. **3) A review mentioned that there is no storage for the pins/legs so they will be lost. The statement is true and untrue at the same time. Using 3 simple methods to store them after bending them slightly, I have found them simple to store. A) The enclosure's top ridge is rolled to the same size as the hinges, they can be inserted there directly. What is your view on whether I would Yes, I would say so. So far I am pretty impressed with this one, and while I'm anxious to find a realistic estimation of its durability, I'm currently impressed with how well it has worn so far. Several photos appear below that show how to store the pins/legs after bending, and different ways to bend them. In the meantime, I will be updating this review as I use it, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them below.

The boat has been in the river twice, and it's still ready to use, as if I hadn't ever used it before! It has been used to cook chicken, sausage, tortillas, and peppers
5/5

I'm thinking a kickbutt grill would be great to have when you just want to take your backpack and a small cooler down by If you arrive at the meeting site with no grill in tow and the people you're meeting look at you with concern, it's quite humorous. I bought this at the HEB in San Antonio A grill only uses half the charcoal, but it cooks REAL fast. After I've finished with it, I dump out the charcoal and throw it away when cooled down. I get a "light up" bag of charcoal (which I keep in my back pack) and it works great. It is made of aluminum. I rinse it off and make sure it is cool before folding My laptop case is an old charcoal bag that I made out of the bottom of a dirty backpack and when folded up and flattened is smaller than the laptop compartment in the backpack! It will take you only a few minutes to clean this guy up, and you'll be able to put it to a lot of use. This is a truly useful and portable tool that is well worth every penny!.

A transformer for BBQ's It has standoffs and a grill attached to it, converting it into a barbecue
4/5

The BBQ is constructed from light gauge sheet cut into hinge folds so that four trapezoidal sheets can be rotated into position to form an inverted semi-pyramid base with four pin stakes that support the entire heated area up to 1 inch off the ground. Throughout the bbq, I found some kind of hydrocarbon residue that I was able to wipe off very easily, but it smells like This will need to be burned in before food is cooked on it. There is only a grill on top of the When cooking, you may wish to use office binder clips to prevent the pot from moving. Ultimately, it will be stored in a sturdy garbage can (one that can go in a garage, workshop, or car) along with some charcoal, this BBQ, and other consumables that don't cost too much to fret over. It is light enough to bend using only your hands (it arrived with an unrepairable crease in one panel). The 10 inch ones), or a 2 quart pot, an 8 cup percolator type boiler, or just off the grill.

This is the best value for the money
4/5

In short, nbsp Simply because it is pretty flimsy, I gave it 4 stars. I paid $10ish for it, but I think it's worth Assembling and cleaning it is a snap, and I love that it can be folded flat for storage and portability. There was a strange black greasy film on the inside of the box when it arrived, so don't wear white clothes when opening this. The following are the quick-fixes we used I used light charcoal and it worked like a charm. It took 10 minutes for the buns to heat up, followed by 10 minutes on each side It looks like top sirloin is on a.

This was nice, flat, and works well for camping in a car
5/5

It is discardable. Exactly what you're looking for at It was taken to Iceland while we were camping in our car There was a chance we would catch It was set up, it was cooked, it was cleaned, and it was taken This has happened a couple of In order to prevent everything under it from burning. There is a flattened design. My husband and I tried it out for a couple of uses, and it worked pretty well. Tailgating will probably be good with this. You may think that a $6 grill is going to last, but that is probably asking for too much for your money.

Getting around on a motorcycle using a I bought two of them for a camping trip with four friends
5/5

In one rule, you must There were no gas stoves in caveman times. With three meals each day, constant embers inside, and hi-fi at night, so it feels like you're eating for three days, but not really. Although we knew there would be a problem with the grill height before we purchased, the height could not be adjusted. What a nice thing to say, obviously.

I seriously don't know how many more times they'll take abuse like that, but for the price, for me it's not that important. Don't be afraid to buy Their prices are much lower than those POS made of tin foil. I would like to give you some advice. They came soaked in a It won't come off if you scrub it! One of ours started rusting as soon as it was done. One of the other packages we unpacked at the campsite, and let it burn for a while before we used Despite the odds, both managed to survive with ease, but the second did much better than the first.
