Yes, full briskets can be smoked. If your water pan isn't too big, you can use it. It'd be ideal for a patio setting. That's where we keep ours. br>There is, however, one caveat. When it rains, it must be covered because it is not waterproof. Around the rim of the lid, there are leaks. br>However, I really like it. This is the third time we've done it in the last 40 years.
I believe you will have no problems using wood. Simply bring the pan nearer to the wok. I had mine turned up to eleven in terms of heat output and it worked perfectly.

) Disappointed Such a letdown. The Rambler was delivered today, despite my wife's disapproval (she claims I already own too many grills). So excited to put it together and get it running. When I put the lid together, I realize it's so warped that it'll never seal well enough to keep the temperature under control. What? There's about a 5/16 to 3/8 inch gap all the way down the left side. On such a high-priced portable grill? Even more so. There is no customer service, and I'm giving up after five attempts to contact Oklahoma Joe's by phone. I'm tired of wasting my time after waiting a long time to be disconnected, so I'll be back. I'm undecided about buying it again. After an 11-minute wait, I was hung up on for the sixth time. This makes me angry. br>br>Update 07/03/20br>Oklahoma Joe's has not contacted me yet. Wow! Regardless of this. I'm not sure how I managed to pull it off. I placed a second grill order. It had just arrived the day before. I checked to see if the lid was flat right away. it was. After that, I began putting it together. Cool. It's quite satisfactory. It hasn't been used yet for cooking. I'm looking forward to using it. I'm still irritated by the lack of customer service, and I'm hoping the virus is to blame. Not because they're bad, but because they're boring. After I grill, I'll provide more information.
This unattractive little spud took about thirty minutes to put together and weighed in at around fifty pounds. There were no issues with parts or parts mating with each other. In terms of design, it's very simple and functional. The charcoal tray performs admirably and can be adjusted to one of three heights. The concept behind the three-position raising and lowering of the charcoal tray, as well as how it locks the tray in place, demonstrates that this small grill has been well designed by those who have mastered their craft. The charcoal tray is not a light, 'burn through' sheet metal piece. It's made of high-quality stainless steel that won't burn. The ash tray is made of sheet metal and can be removed for cleaning with ease. The top stack vent cover is spring-loaded, snug, and stays in place, and the side air vent is designed to move easily. The cast iron cooking grates, which are quite heavy, will require seasoning. If you don't know how to season iron, whether it's BBQ grates or a skillet, this is a good place to start. It's a very simple procedure. Apply a thick coat of cooking oil to the iron that needs to be seasoned. Olive, peanut, or coconut oil are all good options. Place the grate over a high heat source and allow it to burn until it no longer smokes. Then there's more oil, which means more fire. This is done until the grates have a nice black glossy finish and the iron has been sealed. You've completed your task. The cooking area is just big enough for one large cut-up freezer eagle or six decent burgers. The first thing you'll notice when assembling the parts is that this isn't a cheap BBQ grill from the basement. This grill is built to last a lifetime, or until you feel the need to upgrade to a larger model. I really like this little grill and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small grill that is perfect for camping and backyard smoking. This grill looked like it was made in Oklahoma to me. Joe, thank you for your help!.
For its size, this grill isn't cheap, but it's well worth the money. It's a good size for a small grill and well-made - design and functionality It's more than just a grill - it's a work of art. a container with a lid It comes with a slew of appealing features, including: quality thermometer, quality cast iron grates, quality side and lid handles, and plastic caps on all four legs, side air vent, top chimney/vent, charcoal tray height adjustment, removable full size ash tray, quality thermometer, quality cast iron grates, quality side and lid handles, and quality plastic caps on all four legs It looks and performs admirably.
I easily put this grill together yesterday; I have not yet fired it up, but I will do so at a later time. But so far, I like it. I bought an Oklahoma Joe's Combo (Smoker,Grill) that will be great for quick meals, is very portable, and has the same construction as the full size. So far, I like it and would buy it again as a gift. 6/14/2019 Alright, let's get this party started. First and foremost, make sure you've registered. This grill (immediately) Now I've seasoned this grill to HOT, (my fault) warped the grill grate, and noticed the thermometer was stuck, so I called customer service. No questions asked, no return parts, no shipping charge; I received my grill grate and thermometer in one week; 2 year warranty; if you have any further problems with any of the parts, please contact us. I'm not sure why some people can't get parts, but I love this little grill because it cooks and smokes so well. PEACE.
This is what we bought for our deck, and we are very pleased with it. Our deck is quite large, but we don't have enough room for a grill, so this was ideal. I put it together myself, and the instructions were simple and straightforward. So far, we've cooked everything from burgers to fish to steaks to vegetables, and it's a fantastic grill. It took a little getting used to the differences in cooking time between cast iron and metal charcoal grates, but after some trial and error, we've found our groove. There is enough grilling space for everything to fit at the same time. This is something we'll be doing all summer.
🎶. One of the legs was incorrectly manufactured. To properly assemble the smoker, the mounting holes for all four legs must be identical. (See photo)br>br>Because I had some Bison Tomahawks to smoke, I simply drilled the proper mounting holes and assembled the unit myself. br>br>Apart from that, the smoker checked every box. I have no complaints; I just wanted to share in case anyone else has the same problem.
When you open the lid and watch it flex the back wall of the grill, you'll notice it's not as thick as it should be for the price. To reinforce and solidify it, we'll add a steel square.
This grilling device is fantastic. In comparison to other grills I've owned, this one is well-made and of high quality; I've always used small portable grills to feed a family of six. The previous one lasted three years before being peed on by a neighbor's dog, and the wife no longer wants to feed it. D We'll be camping, going to the beach, having a picnic, and so on with this one. For the price, if it performs well in the cooking and smoking departments, I will definitely purchase this grill again when my current one rusted out. My siblings will undoubtedly receive this as a Christmas gift.
