The E- Although the video of the grill/smoker I watched showed that it was included in the box, the 6520 Akorn Kamado warming rack was an option. It was something I had to buy on my own.

The paint on the bottom of this product delaminated the first time I used it due to heat, despite the fact that it claims to be heat resistant. When I contacted customer service, they informed me that "overheats" are not covered. "What kind of grill boasts about how hot it can get and then develops flaws as a result?".

Would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the packaged items were incorrect when delivered, forcing me to purchase additional items from the manufacturer (axle and hubcaps). My Akorn E6520 Kamado grill arrived in ten days after I ordered it on Amazon. Upon completion of the assembly, I discovered that the wheel/axle assembly could not be fitted together according to the instructions. The axle appeared to be too short to complete the assembly by adding washers and cotter pins as directed. I suspected that the wrong axle had been shipped with my order, so I did some research on the Char- To prove my suspicion, I compared the axle I received with my grill to the axle I received with my friend's AKORN model E56720, and the axles were identical in length. I then placed an order for the proper axle (MODEL: 101055 is a number that comes from Char- grillerwebsite noticed that the axle was longer than the one shipped and that it fit perfectly when it arrived. I also needed to purchase a second set of hubcaps because they are a one-time installation/use item that I had already installed on one end. br>So far, the grill has performed admirably, and I have no reservations about it. Overall, the construction appears to be solid, and the product has performed admirably. I am pleased with the overall value compared to other Kamado style grills and would highly recommend this grill to others; however, I would advise anyone considering purchasing this grill to double-check your shipped items for any incorrect parts.
A coworker who grills on a daily basis and owns five grills. He has Treggor, Neptune, and all those top-of-the-line models, but his favorite is the char griller, according to him. The one tip everyone should know before they grill for the first time is to use only 2 handfuls of lump hardwood charcoal to start, you don't want to go above 450 degrees, this grill needs a seasoning period, which means you don't want to go above 500 degrees for the first couple of grill sessions, invest in a chimney starter to light the coals and never use lighter fluid, put wadded up paper under the chimney starter to get the fire started, and never use lighter fluid.
