It seems that I have no idea about KJ's product. Having used this product, I can tell you that it The fire box is just over half an inch deep and 4' deep. the diffuser plates are used, there should be an exact 3" clearance between the ceramic bottom and the cage top. It hasn't caused me any problems when I have overfilled the basket. I think it's a quality product with good workmanship. They use 1/4" stainless steel rod for it, and the welds appear to be robust enough to last for years to come. It was initially a concern of mine that the movable divider would not stay in place. Although, there wasn't any issue at all. The price is high, but the value is great.
Big Joe is one of my favorite things! Shaking out the ashes and replacing them with fresh ones is very easy.
it looks like part number 8554 is listed for
The gauge is not clear to me, but it is heavy and has served me well

First I submitted a review for the wrong item, which was a kamado joe classic. With the title for this product I said how much I spent on this item. There is no such part for the Kamado Joe classic. However, it does fit the Big Joe. Grills that are completely different from each other. Therefore, I'm out an "undisclosed amount of money" and I still need to buy a charcoal basket for my classic despite this. You guys rock. An incorrect description of the title is the equivalent of me throwing away "undisclosed.
The basket is just what I needed for my first cook. The Big Joe reached its target temperature faster than I expected, in fact it went even higher than my original target temperature because I was not expecting such excellent Remove the cast iron in my basement (? A ) plate at the bottom of the fire box and I am sure I won't be bothered by charcoal pieces blocking the vents. The third letter stands for the "C") Almost wish there was some way to remove the basket, or give it a good shake, without having to remove the D&D I want to use a C system, but maybe that's too much The picking process.
There are two kinds of ash baskets, the KAB and the KJ. I have been very pleased with this product so far. If I run into any problems with the product, I will provide an update. However, the weight and quality of the product seem to be good. I couldn't be more pleased. Especially when it comes to this stuff, what is made in China isn't well hidden. I wear it with my big joe perfectly. Included is the divider.
It had been my intention to hold off on getting one of these for my Kamado Joe, but after reading posts and watching videos, I decided to bite the bullet. As a result of the increase in airflow, this basket gets the temperature really hot. Due to the fact that you may normally need to open the top and bottom vents more, it is important that you keep on top of it. Play with it and see how it goes. The Big Joe (original/version 1) fits very well in it and the product is very well made. In the end, it is worth it, even though it's a bit pricey.
We recommend it.
The stainless material is thick and of good quality. I can put it in my big joe without any problems. There are only about 4 or 6 inches above the ground, so it is about as shallow as you can get. The grates are a bit far apart so a lot of unburnt coal falls through, particularly if you use cheap bags like I did. It takes only a few handfuls to fill this up to the top, and it won't be enough for cooking a roast for six hours or more, like a brisket. When the basket is overfilled, tons of coal will fall outside and get stuck between the basket and the ceramic Firefox, since the basket isn't as wide as it should be.
When I saw that the brand was half the price of the leading brand, I was worried about its In spite of this, I found that the steel was a heavy gauge and it fit perfectly in the Big Joe. The purchase I made is exactly what I was looking for.
The big one fits my Kamado Big Joe grill, so I bought it. A charcoal divider is included with the product. I can either mount it on the bottom of my grill or hang it on my As I haven't had a lot of time to use it yet, I will update this review if it is less than 5 stars. It's been on my wish list for a while now and I finally decided to get one.
It is much easier to clean up between cooks with this basket. With charcoal in hand, I do not have to worry about getting my hands dirty. I'm really happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others. And I should mention that the price is great as well!.
