What should I do about mixing this with soil or will it just work on its own? Rather than using it on established plants, I intend to use it as a soil enhancement. Is that okay?

Shelf life can be shortened by properly storing it, just keep it cool and dry

Would this be a good product for lawn seeding? The spring will be the time for me to plant bluegrass in my yard after I renovate it. ?

The castings are ideal for grasses of the cool season. Synthetic fertilizers are far superior to regular ones. There are probably no bug repellent properties in this product. The product is a bit pricey, but you do not need a lot to get terrific

Are bugs like white flies kept at bay by this soil?

It is usually the dry areas under leaves or in grass that are the most popular spots for white flies. As long as you don't leave them alone for an extended period of time, they shouldn't cause harm. A giant hibiscus in my neighborhood had been infested with whiteflies for literally 30 years, and they never died, but they did manage to get pretty bad infested but it took a very long time. You just have to hose off the white flies. Two things are unappealing to whiteflies being too cold or being too moist. I have white flies on a couple of my hibiscus but they don't harm them if they are As well, please do not attempt to defeat them using chemicals because chemicals do not You just need to use a hose once every two to three days or so to rinse off the hair, but also be sure to flush out any actual flies and then hit them with the hose to kill them. You should also be aware of other beneficial insects, such as lady bugs and their larvae, lacewings and their larvae, bees, praying mantises, parasitic wasps, etc. I wish you luck and remind yourself that many insects are our friends, and that they help us keep the bad insects at bay.

I am unhappy with the overall quality of the product
3/5

It is a product that I have purchased or ordered over the past several Even the small amount I ordered before is still left over. Fortunately, the latest shipment is of better quality as there is sand added to the worm casting to make it heavier This is inaccurate. By adding sand to the worm casting, it will dry Despite the fact that my old lot is moist from pure worm casting, it does not contain sand. It was the worm casting I recommended to all my gardening friends when I was starting out. There is no longer a need for that. As a result of this latest shipment, I am upset. My search for worm castings will include a variety of brands.

Weight volume is increased by adding sand to worm casting
3/5

My name is Erica and I am a second-time buyer of this worm casting. For 30 lb you'll have to pay 30 bucks. This is the best the internet has to offer. This was the first time I bought it, and it was a pure black gold worm casting. I planted all my plants with it and they loved it. When it comes to small things, they count for a lot. In addition, it helped me improve the quality of my soil. I was also very pleased with how my potted plants were doing. Great job, everything went as planned. The last time I had to take nags, I had to take them for six months. I ordered another one after I was so happy with the first. There is sand added to the mix this time, as you can see by looking at the pictures. It is not sand that I am paying for. I still see some worm casting, but I kind of feel deceived by it. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see small sand particles in there. I did not get a good picture because there was a lot of sand in the picture.

What's up with the price hike? There is no doubt! I am amazed! In the past, I have paid 18 dollars for a 30 pound bag
5/5

This is the 19th of September 2019! It seems the worms are infected with the Coronavirus! I agree with your assessment, but I do not think the price increase was worth it 100%!.

A program of organic amendments, such as Azomite rock dust, is utilized as well as actively aerated compost teas
5/5

I created the first raised bed in my garden in 2004 and have been working to build the fertility of the soil ever since. I have been adding organic amendments like Azomite rock dust to actively aerated compost teas and biochar as a part of an organic amendment program. Throughout the journey, I have learnt a great deal. The bulk purchase of Worm Castings enabled me to step it up this year. So I have very little scraps left for a worm bin since I use all my kitchen scraps to feed soldier fly larvae. It didn't appeal to me to add another component to the system that requires daily or weekly maintenance and care. It may be useful to do an "in-depth" investigation While I plan on building this "worm garden" in the future, I need some good quality castings now. I have been using castings in my AACT recipes (actively aerated compost tea) for several years now and I am familiar with a couple of brands already. After receiving some Unco Industries Wiggle Worm products, I am really impressed. I wasn't sure how this product would compare to other brands, but after comparing them, I am very pleased. I have consistently bought Worm Gold Plus as my first choice brand. However, there is a limited amount of inventory here on Amazon, so I decided to research my As part of my compost tea kit I ordered this year, I received a couple pounds worth of organic tea from On Amazon, it does not appear to be available in any quantity. After researching for quite some time, I finally chose the 30 lb bag from Wiggle Worm and took the chance to order The price of the Prime Shipping was only $24 sold by Amazon. 30 pounds for 30 pounds is an unbelievable deal. had to give it a try since there was such a great price and so much positive feedback. With three brands in hand to compare, I am ready to do so. It may not be listed for $24 yet, so be sure to check "new available from other sellers". We have attached a few pictures featuring all three of them. What I have observed is as follows A bad smell was not detected in any of the castings. There are several tastes to choose from. Most of them smell earthy and delicious. The color is a lovely dark chocolate brown. This is a new Worm Gold Plus product. There is a lot of space in the bag I have over the other two The item must be broken apart in order to be used. It is hard to define castings clearly. The texture is like clay, but a bit thicker. The process of breaking up the clods takes both time and effort, especially when you are adding them to soil mixes or places where the fine texture is needed. Having said this, I have a concern with it because it is/has or is headed toward becoming anaerobic. Natural Solution - Our Organic Solution. Upon getting a handful, you could easily slide your fingers through these castings and they all felt fine and moist. The piece looks like wood and there were lots of little pieces of it As long as it will facilitate and encourage the growth of fungi, I'll have to say that it's my favorite. There are lots of little creatures running around that you can see with your naked eye as well. Several small batches of these castings are produced in California by a family-owned company. In my experiment, I gave the worms a pre-prepared food source A product that is free of toxins and contaminants in the consumer waste stream. There is a high amount of chiton in it, which serves as a food source for microbes. It is thought that these microbes will live on your plants and will provide a deterrent to pests landing on them, as they dislike getting eaten by them. Furthermore, when worms consume the chiton it is broken down into chitonase which is then absorbed by the plants, but when insects drink from the plants who have chitonase, it dissolves the plants' Natural insect repellent worm castings with a high chitin content are incredibly effective. There's an old wives' tale about how you can burn them 1/4" thick on any bed Well, I did try it, and it A day or two after the ant bed was abandoned, it was gone. There is no doubt in my mind that this is my favorite brand. The compost teas I use for prized plantings and compost teas are the only ones I use. In addition to shipping, 30 pounds worth would cost about $40 or more. Though I found this to be one of the best castings I have ever used, I was looking for good quality bulk castings to place in my transplant beds **Find out more about Unco Industries Wiggle Worm Castings here** There is a fine texture to these and they are moist. As far as appearance is concerned, it is very consistent. From UNCO Industries in Oregon, this product is produced. Since 1976, they have been in business. In addition to being of very high quality, these castings are also very nice. applications, these cannot be beaten for the price because you can order from Amazon for $24 per 30 pound bag shipped Prime. I have ordered 3 bags of these this year, and plan to order as many as I can. I thank Amazon for being there.

5 stars for the quality product I received at an affordable rate. It met my expectations. You need to get your garden in shape with some giant veggies and fruit of record size and flavor. I wish you the best of luck in your gardening.

Adding this to my start mix has been the best thing I've ever done
5/5

There is nothing more valuable than this. In fact, my garden was so ruined by it last year that I had to throw it out! It was the same schedule as always for planting my tomatoes and peppers, but the plants grew so fast they were too big too soon! When the temperature warmed up, I had to move them to 3 gallon pots. They grew to 2 feet tall before I could move them. There isn't much easier to do each day than move 50 tomatoes in 3 gallon pots across the room (sun outside, but dark inside). Due to my over eager planting, I got caught by a late spring frost. This year, I'm planting my tomatoes and peppers a few weeks later than I would have done with any commercial starter mix. This will save me money on growing lights and prevent plants from growing too quickly. Add some seaweed, lime, and 13-6% sulfur to replace the worm castings, and I mix them with vermiculite and peat moss in the same proportions as I did before There are 13 types of Using the same stuff without worm castings did not produce nearly the same results.

For people who live in areas with poor soil, this is a MUST-HAVE
5/5

The product has been used at many of our If you live in an area where the soil is poor, you NEED to use this product. Our team has used it a number of times, and it helps make plants healthy and strong so that they can resist disease (just like people eating well). Suddenly, worms hatch, and nature gets back to its normal state. We had once tried pesticides out of desperation many years ago, and all that happened was we contributed to destroying the wildlife. Several birds and lizards live in the area. It is unacceptable that our yard is contributing to a water pollution problem, and the pesticides did not stop the diseases from killing our.

You are getting some great value here! Black gold is the feces of earthworms
5/5

It's time to get right to the point These are the causes of your plants' ill health. It was not easy for me to grow pepper plants from Padron. There were only two leaves on the stem of this plant, standing 6 inches tall. Unlike Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, it looked like a real Uprooting it from the garden and potting it was my plan, I thought it would die that way. A 70/30 mix of top soil and worm castings worked well for me. It has now caught up with the rest of the plants who were 2 months behind. was like a bomb went off. As far as stalk growth is concerned, it looks healthy for a plant that is four months old. There are a lot of buds popping. There are peppers peppered all over it. Four weeks were enough to get the job done what the others would have taken seven or eight days. Here are a few things you should get. Lots are a good idea. Things grow when you do it.
