We live in a plastic world. Make sure there are no holes for drainage It's difficult to put moisture control discs into the little round holes. The product is extremely cheaply made.
It's hard for me to guess what size Jiffy pellets are, but the cells are relatively small, maybe a 1 or 2. 25" - 27" There is a 5" opening at the top that reduces in size as it goes down
Water frequently, sure, but make sure you do it often
It is up to you which to use. Using sterile seed starter and a heating pad underneath has been extremely successful for me.

The photos on this page do not give a true representation of what these are like. Green they are, which is fine, but I ordered them in a different color. My surprise when I opened them was that 6 out of 10 of them were cracked/chilled. I find this to be extremely disappointing. Although the material of the design is very mediocre and thin, I guess that's just a reflection of the price. If you would like, I can return it, but I'm trying to be more eco-friendly The package is friendly, and you don't want to spend more time or money shipping the package The only thing I can do for others is to warn them and tell them to The one that we have here will allow you to do the job, but there are definitely better quality ones available.
In comparison to more expensive brands such as Mixc trays, these trays offer superior durability and quality. In my complaint, I am upset that I ordered "clear" trays and instead received "white" trays. Despite my repeated requests to Amazon for a replacement, once again I received a tray that was white instead of clear. You should also know that there's a possibility that you'll be receiving white trays in place of the clear trays if you order the clear trays. I think these trays are very durable and are a great value for the price.
I like them a lot. In addition to providing a convenient use of a temperature probe, the venting feature is also very useful. clear bottom is an additional bonus, and the little tools are of good quality, and my toddler loved using the shovel to add peat moss to the wells. I would only change one thing I would make the bottom tray a little thicker to make it more solid. This time around, I saved my more challenging seeds for these trays, and so far the impatiens are doing fine. There is enough room on the heat mat for three trays- You might be able to squeeze in a 4th as well.
I really liked this product for the price I was able to get it for! The price of my previous set increased when the price increased, and I think the tray with drainage holes is better because it already had them. In the event you find these on sale for a cheaper price, you could drill your own holes. Just make sure you do it before.
This seems to be an excellent product. There are a few vent holes that are off a little, but that is fine. My biggest complaint is that I ordered clear vent holes, which I really need for my setup, but I received green vent holes. Due to lack of time, I won't be able to send them back, so I'll be ordering my clear ones from a different company from now on.
There is no evidence that these do not work. Those seeds are just being planted. As of yet, nothing has been confirmed, but I am optimistic. I like the ease of using the containers. Seeds are easily planted with the Gatden tools because they make perfect holes.
My experience with this purchase couldn't have been better!.
As opposed to my usual Jiffy Greenhouse kit, I purchased these this year. My favorite aspect of these is their size and ability to sit on my windowsills. I didn't get that big 72 cell Jiffy one. These seem to be durable enough to last through more than one year of regular.
