Do I have to keep it on for a certain number of hours ?

The timer on mine runs for 14 hours. I turn it on at 7 am and turn it off at 9 pm. The dark period is necessary for plants as well. It's not recommended to let it run 24 hours a day!

Are these lamps suitable for regular floor lamps?

I think one in a downward facing floor lamp will work, but it does not have a shade harp. Other types of bulbs may have had a wider top, which would have resulted in a wider harp.

The color pink

There are a lot of pink flowers. In reading the reviews, my expectation was that they would be closer to white? Aside from that, I'm pleased with my choice. p. s. im figuring out another fixture now, but need to light my plants as soon as possible. I am not going to take it to the police or tell them that it doesn't work with a shade, please.
