The bottom line Get some good grow room glasses and protest your eyes if you don't want to use anything else. In my extensive review of every 1000w HPS, I came to the conclusion that everything under the $50 or $60 mark is a crap shot. The reviews were too many about receiving used bulbs, broken bulbs, dim bulbs, etc. Therefore, I decided to waste the stress and aggravation of buying a less reliable bulb, pay the additional $20, or stay with this bulb, which is widely recommended. about spending that much can see measurable results after two days. Because of that, I was not so depressed. My friend and I had sunglasses on and he suffered migraines each time he went under the light my eye strain right now is from it despite wearing dark glasses and wearing a baseball hat to shield the light from coming into my eyes. Thus, standard sunglasses are not enough. There are some really good ones that block light. The lights are on and I have stayed out of there while they're on and just used a green light so I can work on the plants while they are off. The heat was said to be horribly intense, but there was no way to tell how hot it would actually be. I have it in a 15x15 foot room and it only raised the temperature by three It hangs from a 7 foot high steel stand with a chain, 1. This piece is on display at the New York Art Museum. There is a five foot distance between the ceiling and the ground. The idea of fire was terrifying to me, but after testing it makes sense if it's tied down tight like it is for me. Interestingly, my hood does not have any duct connections, it is air cooled only. A 10" oscillating fan is on the floor, and a 20" fan exhausts 3 feet away from the window. After I place my hand on the hood, it takes about 5 seconds until I begin to feel the burns. When you turn off the light, it takes around 3 minutes for the hood to reach room temperature. . . . It's really hot standing underneath, like way hotter than the sun if it were to shine the strongest. ****** ****** The bottom line i wouldn't think about doing anything else, but i would suggest get some good grow glasses so you don't harm.

The stock was returned because it was old and used. There are soft spots on the box, it is faded and bent. This bulb has several scratches on it as well as a burned spot on the filament and a handwritten date on the base 5/23/2017. It was never even considered for testing. Make your return appointment minutes after the order is opened and inspected. The bulb I really wanted/needed turned out not to be available - I am very disappointed!! How could this happen? It's a good company and brand, so what.

This is a review of these generic bags being sold as like new and they are actual trash. In fact, I posted photos of the trash that I received, but it keeps getting flagged for using obscene language and I am admonished for doing so. want to try it once more, but this time without any obscenities or profanity. As soon as I received them, they were not usable. Since I had to return them, I wasted precious resources on both ends of the equation as I shipped actual recycling waste twice. HID bulbs are supposed to be the best HID bulbs, but these used bulbs on Amazon are often labeled incorrectly and you cannot rely on the 'like new' label on most grow room gear.

saw in the reviews that many people had trouble with these bulbs, but I have not experienced that problem. These are some of the things that I have bought in the past and am quite satisfied Clearly brand new bulbs, I have occasionally seen a pit or two but they work fine for me and have given me the performance I have come to expect of Eye Hortilux. They will be bought by me in the future.

It's actually a good brand. I checked lumens and it's within range for something like this. A grow store in my area charges about $120 a month. There were about half as many people as there were in the previous year. Please tell me it's not a knockoff from China, or an old Wonder what that is all about. In order to order another, I need to look into this further.

In the past, these bulbs used to be over $100 no matter where you looked, but today I was able to get one for under $30 and a normal price of just over $50 is definitely worth it. I love both the light spectrum and the quality of the bulb.

I just blew my vivosun bulb out of There were trichs on every bud. There is no canopy on the lower levels 3ft below. As well as producing less heat, this bulb seemed to be less efficient. It would not be a problem for me to run them close to my plants. It is wonderful to be able to use eyehortilux. Switching back is never a good idea. I will probably try their HPS+MH combo bulb next to see how well that works.

I'm a huge advocate of reading reviews before purchasing, and I was a little hesitant after reading reviews that said the lamps were used or scratched. Unless you're on the fence, I would say it's a no-brainer.
