Questions & Answers

Can this fixture be installed in the 2x4 grow tent of the vivosun?

According to the reviews, I purchased this based on its ability to fit in a 2x4 grow tent and I am now miffed about it. I am not sure how well this fits in a 2x4. As the light barely fits in the space, the raising and lowering of the light is a huge pain in the butt since the light hits the poles at both ends

Bulb packages are included with the fixtures when you order them?

The bulbs are all that's shown here.

Can you tell me where this is made?

The description can be found on the following page. Whenever you need to contact the seller, don't hesitate to do so.

Would you mind telling me how the packaging looks. Does it make a difference how discreet it is?

There's a low-key look to the packaging, but it's An image of a lamp is black and white printed on the box with text on it about what it is and how it works, but it's not a color photograph of tomatoes glowing under a lamp, like the hydrofarm he sent to me. This isn't just a plain brown box, and it's not at all obvious from 30 feet or so away. Thank you for your help!

T5 LED tubes can be used to reduce electricity consumption. It seems that fixtures are not as durable as they used to be. There are currently nine of these grow lights in my home. My basement is a garden in which I grow a number of vegetables, greens, and herbs all year long, so I can provide my family of three with fresh veggies and salads at all times. The inside environment is better to me since there are no insects or animals to eat your plants It hasn't rained heavily on them they haven't been splashed with soil It doesn't matter what the weather is like when I go gardening My environment (extreme heat or the fear of frost) is in my control The fresh vegetables and herbs I grow all year round are also available to me. The plants I grow are grown under these grow lights, which are placed on shelving units that are five feet tall with two shelves per unit. I have grown some plants under these lights, and the pictures show some of them. In the current state of affairs, I am able to provide all of the greens, tomatoes, bell peppers, and herbs that my family requires, which I have been doing for more than two We pick them fresh when we need them. All are organically grown. LED tubes can be used in place of T5HO tubes, but there is confusion as to whether they should be used. In a word, YES! In all my lighting fixtures I have been using the T5 6500K LED tubes from Sunlite for two years now. Using Sunlite LED tubes in lighting fixtures with ballasts makes a significant difference to your electrical bill. If you have a number of T5 grow lights like I do, using the Sunlite tube will reduce your electricity bill greatly. I set up a room to grow veggies and herbs with only T5 lighting ten years ago or so, before LED tubes were available. In the years when my electric bills reached over $600, I decided I could not afford to grow veggies inside. With my newly built basement greenhouse, I have two large rooms set up for growing plants, and the increase in electricity bill is of no concern to me. As a result of using the 4' Sunlite tubes, each one uses 25 watts while the 8' tubes use 60 watts. This is the 54 watts used by each T5. A large amount of heat is also given off by the T5 tubes. Within a couple of minutes of turning them on, they are too hot to touch. The T5 tubes burn plants very rapidly if they come in contact with them. LED tubes keep plants cooler, and they do not burn plants if they Moreover, the T5HO tubes are fluorescent tubes that gradually lose the quality of their light as they age. As long as they are not out of power, the LED tube consumes the same amount of energy as before. Using LED tubes for 16 hours a day should give them an expected lifespan of over 8 1/2 years. Each tube is supposed to last up to 50,000 hours. Over the course of one year, fluorescent tubes will maintain their lighting quality. In regards to T5 LED tubes as well as T5HO tubes, they are both very bright, but how does that impact According to a reviewer, lumens were used to measure lighting. Plants are not able to use all the light that is available to them, so this measurement can be misleading. Using this measurement measures only brightness, which may not match the amount of light available to While a 6500K tube will have a brighter light source than a 3500K tube, the light it produces can be used by plants in the same way. In order to measure plant lighting correctly, you ought to measure the PAR (Photosynthesis Active Radiation), which is the amount of light plants require In any case, I measured the PAR of the T5HO tubes at the same distance as the T5 LED tubes, and the LED tubes were rated 100 nm higher. In addition to this, there are several other advantages to the plant lights, including the ability to turn off half of the tubes when you don't need bright lighting, the 8 foot heavy duty power cord, and the ability to daisy chain them to save on In the two years I have had some of these grow lights, I have found the initial investment to be well worth the money. The only issue I have had with delivery is one broken tube, which I was not going to use anyway, and now and then the shiny material under the bulbs is

I believe the lights are well worth the price and will greatly improve the quality of your plants. It is true that LED tubes are expensive, but the power they will save will eventually make up for the cost of the LED tubes over time. The following update was posted on May 21, 2005 I have 9 Vivosun ceiling fixtures, of which 3 are 6 feet tall There are six tubes and eight 8-rounds Despite the fact that the tube is less than a year old, four of them have failed. If they work, these fixtures are great, but the tubes they are attached to suddenly stop working. Testing these tubes in a different fixture shows that they work, and trying adding new tubes to the fixture still does not make them Tubes stop working because the sockets they are in are worn out. It has been great so far that Vivosun has credited us for the defective fixtures, but having to replace them and reinstall them is frustrating. Besides looking for a more reliable lighting solution, I'm also looking for an alternative product to replace this one. My goal is to help you make the right decision on how to light your plants with this review. Upon clicking on this button, you will find helpful information.

The output is questionable, and it Neither the construction of the light nor its hanging hardware is objectionable to me It's great to see those
3/5

In reality, this does not produce anywhere near the level of light claimed by the manufacturer (it is supposed to be 20K lumens with four As you know, lumens and PAR do not compare apples to apples Even though I use LED fixtures that give 10K lumens, I am not getting better illumination levels with them. Besides producing a great deal of heat, this lamp also consumes a lot of electricity. I was getting a temperature of 95 degrees with the light at 8 inches above the soil surface In a room with a temperature of 65 degrees, it is 97 degrees. The reason I switched to LED was because I was worried about my tomato seedlings getting fried. In addition, although the fixture is 48" long, it is not very wide nor does it have a very large There is really no way to illuminate more than one 1020 seedling tray for seedling starters. There is no way I would buy this product.

Do not hesitate! If you're a reefkeeper and unsure, your best bet is to This was purchased to be placed over a 55-gallon reef tank, and I was initially concerned that it would not I have no worries about that
5/5

When I placed it over the tank, I began to have bleaching problems. I had to shorten the photoperiod as soon as it was over the tank. My book also puts the 6500k bulbs in the "plus" column. There is good growth and color in one that I left in the fixture with a mix of coral plus and blue plus. I'm sure it will grow clams as well.

If you don't know what's going on, you'll As soon as the 2 foot fixture was received, it appeared to work fine, but shortly after it was turned on, one of the lamps suddenly broke down
3/5

have contacted Vivosun about the issue, but I am still waiting for the company to tell me what additional steps I need to take in order to receive the advertised product. It is a waste of time to wish I had gone with an LED
The latest update. Having heard nothing from Customer support for three days is not acceptable. If you would like more details including photos, please let me know. It would be lovely if they sent me a working light! It now needs to be returned through Amazon and I have to wait for an undetermined amount of time. I can't express enough how frustrated Arrogance of this level is too insulting in a world filled with countless identical products.

A damaged aluminum reflective cover was received with my product from VIVOSUN Customer Service
5/5

Personally, I did not like it. I believe that it causes the angle of refraction of light emitted off the cover to be off. After getting in touch directly with VIVOSUN, I requested that a new cover be sent to me without me paying the costs associated with shipping After I sent them back the damaged product, they said they would refund me entirely without my having to ship it back. It is impossible for a company to beat such customer service with that being said, I will happily purchase a product from this company again.

AFTER a four-month period, the fixture melted
3/5

Refund has been issued in full. Very fast customer service. We have lots of Vivosun grow bags. The quality is superior to those from other companies. Since I bought this light as a stop gap until I upgrade to an LED tier, I bought this light. I was told that despite what appeared to be a dent on the item, it would still be usable. 4 months after initial purchase, it melted, and it is clear that it will never work properly In 24 hours after I reported the issue, I received a full refund. Customer service was prompt and honest. I give the product 1 star but will probably make another purchase to see how things go. If you receive a box that is damaged, I urge you to refuse it or return it.

5/5

During the past month, I have used my 18/6 in a 2x3 for uninterrupted use of one month. Despite the fear of clones, 5 tents were erected on Cannabis The young plants. I'm exasperated. So far, I have had no problems with the light! arrived packaged very nicely and with the bulbs in a tube to prevent I haven't experienced any issues with either bulb, they have been nice and bright. The plug and play feature is very easy to use There is one on/off switch to play with. This is a great VEG/CLONE light for small areas, 5 stars! I'm exasperated. I am going to update if necessary! It is a pleasure to work with Vivosun! I'm exasperated. Thank you, Mr.

I love this
5/5

Everything seems to be going well so far! Hard cardboard tubes filled with bubble wrap were used to ship the bulbs. Light fixture is made very well and is very sturdy. There is an electrical outlet on the fixture so that you can plug in other things. This is a very bright day! The product was perfect and I would.
