Having set these up two months ago, it has been quite a while. The succulents near my living room reeked of hot glue when I walked past them after work. I first noticed that the lights were melting when I saw the crushed succulent leaves that were a little too close to the lights. I was surprised to find that the plastic on the lights was melting. The second time was when I touched the lights, as I could not believe they had begun to melt after all this time. However, these lights are quite dangerous. I'm just glad I happened to be home when they started leaking.

There is no way I could have predicted this light set's quality. We wanted to bring a few plants indoors over the winter, and my wife had a few plants that we wanted to move indoors. Originally, I was thinking that a 30" 5 shelf Amazon Basics wire shelf unit would serve all of my needs. In my research, I found several different options for LED plant lighting. Most of the LED strips that I found were only plastic strips, some had no power supply, and the connectors and cabling were flimsy. This light set appealed to me the most after I looked at it and then found the picture to my liking. The power supply was included, the LEDs were mounted in aluminum housings, and the cabling and connectors were waterproof and looked good. My expectations were not only exceeded when I received the light set, with all components represented correctly, but I found the set to be exactly what I expected as well. My experience with these lights has been very positive. One set was purchased so I could test them out for a month, and I immediately noticed my plants began to grow in the opposite direction from the window. As a result, I ended up purchasing 3 more sets and doubling up on them a little. In doing some research, I discovered that flowing plants need about 30w per square foot. To provide 20W of output to my house plants, I put two strips per shelf. In the summer, I plan on adding these to my small patio greenhouse. Lack of light causes the herbs to spread instead of bushing up in my partially shady garden. Here are a few ideas that might be helpful.

When I first purchased this, I did not know that Amazon sellers maintained fake reviews. I believed I could supplement my plants' light during the darkness of The lumen output of these lamps is barely 200. I measured them with a light meter.
